Absolutely agree. What the Drag ons need is players who’ve been there and done it not ‘up and coming’ players. Just adds fuel to the fire that this is just a development club. It doesn’t have to be that way.

It’s not a development region! The dragons is a region in development. We are bringing through a crop of future stars who will form the backbone of the dragons and even the national team in the future. The ospreys did exactly the same seven or eight years ago, and their young players grew into the hook, Wynn jones, Ryan jones. cheap jerseys They also brought in players from elsewhere in Wales who werent realising their full potential like Gough and Bennett, just as the dragons are doing now. These same players later became the galacticos. I suppose you didnt sceptically call them a development region did you!

The Blues game should be a real test for who good enough at this level and who is not.

If they can’t perform on this stage, against this oposition ,its time for a clean out and use the savings for someone who can.

That includes the coaching staff as well.

I am expecting a good tough physical game with Dragons nipping it with a Prydie penalty.

I do NOT expect to see dropped balls in the centre, aimless kicking to the middle of the parkl with no follow ups, and I DO expect to have an equal share of the breakdowns (even with Warborton on the park) and a solid scrum (well enough not to have too disruptive a feed for the half backs.

I also expect some HWYL as Mr Nimmo is certainly capable of holding his own in the best/worst of company and causing a lot of discontent in the line and at the breakdown.
