Final Fantasy XIII to appear on the PS3?
Firstly, I’d like to apologise the lack of posting much in the past 2 weeks or so. This has been due to my starting year two of my university degree programme, which in the first few weeks leaves very little spare time.
I have discovered though that of my 8 hours per week actually in university, 7 of them are on a Monday! 6 hours in a row of solid ‘learning’ seems somewhat daunting. While I will clearly have to do a fair bit of reading outside of university, I should also get plenty of time to work with Final Fantasy Net; it was while I was at university last year that I created the site, afterall.
Now, back to the subject of this post. It’s been suggested by an FFNet reader who claims to have associations with Square-Enix, that Final Fantasy XIII is already a work-in-progress. It was suggested that the game FF13 will appear on the PlayStation 3. Clearly I do not know how valid a source this is. It’s pretty much pure speculation. I cannot invisage too much development with FF13 considering the problems with Final Fantasy XII. I’ll of course let you all know what news we hear (if indeed we do hear any news).

Square-Enix has confirmed a Final Fantasy Title to be in the works, whether or not it will be a 13 is what is speculated. We also know Another FF is expected for the revolution a possibly sequal to crystal chronicles.
But yeah they might do like a FF Tactics ps3
either way nice to see square-enix fairly devoted to sony.

He means the delays and extended time to develop ff12. (honestly lets not count ff11 or ffx-2.. been like 5 years since a real ff came out)

Square - Enix says that FFXIII is FFVII.
I dunno why they should have 13 instead of 7, but it´s not confirmed that Square - Enix will do FF7 again on PS3…
but hey!! it would be awesome if they could do FF7 on PS3, the whole story and characters etc.

Square says FF will be coming to the ps3, but said undergoing a project like ff7 would be a serious undertaking, as they do not wish to simply remake it.

hey hey ppl i dont know lol i dont know much about the ffxii yet im still looking for some good info on it i dont get what you mean Death God saying that thr hasnt been a ff for 5 or so years you mustnt be to big of a fan i know some of the ff’s hav finda been….. but that dont mean you have to down then you know thr still good games at times (key word thr) =D have a good one

…I’d buy the PS3 -IF- Final Fantasy VII EX does come out. So it would be a phenomenon if they did succesfully make it. The game itself would be good for diehard FF fans and may appeal to 7-year olds. It did for me, and I never even got to Disc 2!

no ff7 remake. it was only a tech demo showing what the ps3 is capable. now let me just say…. HOLY MOLEY!!! FF13 is AWESOME! its so beautiful!! so much action, and the graphics are like advent childrens! plus the battles seem to be allloooottta action! oh and FF13 Versus doesnt look to bad either, though i dont know much about it. CHECK OUT THE FF13 trailer! its at gametrailers.com and ign.com very beutifull! plus theirs info on all three FF13’s in production : Final Fantasy 13 (ps3), Final Fantasy 13 Versus (ps3), and Final Fantasy 13 Agito (cell phone)
