For me the list would have to be:
1. Squall. His silent-grumpiness was just... great.
2. Auron. His to-the-point silent grumpiness was just... great.
3. Cloud. Punk. Kinda to-the-point grumpiness in the beginning.
4. Sephiroth. A little wordy sometimes, but he's cool nonetheless.
5. Rinoa. My favorite "final fantasy chick".
Those are my top 5 if you twisted my arm and made me pick.
