Indeed, I was able to recognize that it is a decent game..the quest is long, the plot is original, and as you say, the combat system does offer some challenge.

I always thought I should give it another try at least, but the...whole feel of it, the atmosphere...it does not fit with me.

But again, I suppose you are correct, most older turn based role playing games do not differ much farther then Dragoon as far as the circumstence of its formula.

Hum...out of topic perhaps, but...does anyone have any information about there ever being a sequel for this? A friend and I made a bet of ten dollars...me betting against a sequel ever appearing before the end of 2006. I heard Sony was never to make one, but who knows...
