Here's how I beat him.
I.Preperation
1.unequip all attack skills you have on except for strike raid. Never attack Sephy up close for he will atack you easier. Have MP rage and any MP haste equiped.
SECOND CHANCE IS A MUST!!!
and also have dodge roll
2.Fill all of your item slots with elixers. Synthesize if you must.
3.Have all accesories be gaia bangels(need to be synthesized)
II.His attacks
Basic Sword Slash
Teleport Sword Slash
Flame Pillar
Sin Harvest
Omnislash
Darkness Ball Attack
Meteor Shower
III.The Fight
1.Start by strike raiding him. Make sure you get all hits in, including judgement.
2.When he uses fire pillar this is the best time to attack him.
3.If you start to run out of mp let him hit you a couple of times and you should get some back.
4.When you get a couple of his bars down he will use sin harvest. Quickly lock on to him and use strike raid. If you hit him he will go into flame pillar right there. If it's to late quickly use an elixer while he's saying sin harvest, after it you should be at full health and mp
5.He will then use a teleport slash and start to move much faster. He will repeat the sin harvest alot now.
6.After awhile he will use omnislash. try and dodge all the hits. He will end omnislash with a powerfull hit to the ground that is likely to hit you.
7.after awhile he will start to send darkness balls at you, they're easy to dodge.
8.He wil then use meteor. Stay away from him during this for he is invincible while using it. It can be hard to dodge.
9.After awhile you will have beaten him. It may take many times but you can do it.
IV.Rewards.
You get two things.
1.Sephy's journal entry
2.select a match in the hades cup.
