All I was saying was; what would be the point in "Tha Davinci code" driving people away from Christianity? Other than to show people the truth? Christians are so blinded by the lies that the Church produces they fail to notice what is in that book might be true.
Put it this way, what have the church changed?
1) The appearance of the Devil: They say the Devil looks like a Goat/Ram when in actually fact Pagans used to worship Rams/Goats so they Church though they'd make Pagans look evil.
2) The Pagan sign for M/F has been changed to the "Sign of the Devil" in the Christian church.

And I respect your opinion but again, ALL of the priests that I have met are no where close to being millionaires, and I have met many. I think you got your facts mixed up. Yes, there have been lies and scandals and such over the centuries with th church, and some still occur. But what you're not taking into account is the church's attempts to correct itself over all this time. They're making progress. In addition, amny of the Catholic symbolism is based off of beliefs centuries ago that suited a society back then, not now. A Christian must confess that noone knows what the devil looks like and the pentegram has been glossed up by hollywood, not Catholics, as a symbol of the devil. We no longer believe in those ideas, nor should we. And we believe what is in the bible [aside from things such as the creation stories] are true because that is OUR RELIGION. You wouldn't just go up to a Jewish person and say that they are blinded by the lies in the Torah [the same goes for any other religion] Catholics don't believe that non-Catholics are condemned because we're "right" or anything. Otherwise that would just be unfair for someone who was raised in another religion.
