WHoever gives a definition of dreams obviously doesnt know much about them, people are still scrambling to find out what dreams are. People think that nightmares are your fears, other people think that dreams are just thought going through ur mind while your sleeping - and portraying them as images. But the one I find most convincing ( But still dont believe ) is that dreams are recycled memories going through your mind. If you randomly thought about a pink elephant for even a second - its so useless that ur mind recycles it while you sleep. While mathematics is something you learn but that u do regularly in school - so ur brain keeps them. But I remember dreams much, the last dream i remember was about 2 years ago >.>
People say that people who dont dream AT ALL go insane because there mind has too much info. Which also goes with the recycling theory.
