you should take it back for another copy, i mean, they can test it out and see that the copy is a subpar copy themselves.

i think gow 2 is pretty damn good. people seem to think the first gow was so innovative and brilliant that the second can't compare, but i beg to differ. gow just did what has already been do before, but it just happened to be better. so what? it's not the best game ever. same thing with the first prince of persia game: sands of time. gow 2 feels more complete, and right now i'm about eleven hours in, still liking it. the action never comes to a crawl, it just gets annoying sometimes when you enter a new area and you get a bird's eye of the area in the opening scene, then you think "i bet there's another stupid puzzle in here." there's always like 3-4. still, very good, but i think the game should end at 3 games (if it doesn't end here, i can't say since i haven't beaten it, but i doubt this is the last edition), like an epic trillogy.
