Well, speaking to him wasn't the only reason. The reason both Kain and I were elevated to the levels we are was because he trusted us - I was, for a time, the most active mod and Alex admitted himself he was terrible at looking after forums. Thus he changed my rank :P
Also yep, Alex is gay. I think I was the 18th person he came out to, but I kind of suspected considering the nickname I gave him. Which I'm not telling :P
