Chibi (in anime terms) is a way of stylizing a character thus that they look like a child. It is usually characterized by a stubby body and huge eyes in proportion to the face, and often is used for comedic purposes.

Chibi may also reference an actual child or short person, though typically calling somebody a chibi is a derogatory term, akin to "runt" in English.
