God of War 2 - Final Fantasy Net

I recently got this game and it is awesome, but there is only one problem...my PS2 dosent load the disc good at all. Ive gotten it to work only twice in a week and i have to toy around with it for about 30 mins to even get the disc to spin. Its not my PS2 because my other games (like FFXII or Evergrace) work fine. Is anyone else having this problem or did i just get a shity copy of the game?

it could be you just need to clean your disc tray, and you can just rub the cd on your shirt a bit and blow on it. as soon as i bought gow2, i put it in my ps2 and it didn't load. i just blew on it and whatnot and it worked a minute later (ole school, i know). if the problem persists, you can take the game to any local gamestore and get it refurbished for basically nothing. but 30 min to get a new game to work? (you did get it new, not used, right?) that's absurd. although, that did happened to me with ffxii.

Yeah its new, and ive tried blowing on it, cleaning it, cleaning my disc tray, just about everything...i have no idea whats the matter with it...i think im just gonna take it back for another copy or something...but thanks for the help...what do you think of the game so far?

you should take it back for another copy, i mean, they can test it out and see that the copy is a subpar copy themselves.

i think gow 2 is pretty damn good. people seem to think the first gow was so innovative and brilliant that the second can't compare, but i beg to differ. gow just did what has already been do before, but it just happened to be better. so what? it's not the best game ever. same thing with the first prince of persia game: sands of time. gow 2 feels more complete, and right now i'm about eleven hours in, still liking it. the action never comes to a crawl, it just gets annoying sometimes when you enter a new area and you get a bird's eye of the area in the opening scene, then you think "i bet there's another stupid puzzle in here." there's always like 3-4. still, very good, but i think the game should end at 3 games (if it doesn't end here, i can't say since i haven't beaten it, but i doubt this is the last edition), like an epic trillogy.

i think kratos makes solid snake look like a wuss. he actually slams doors on people's heads, i mean, can you imagine anything more kickass than that? solid snake just hides, kratos hits statues in the face when they give him guff. i don't think anyone can step to him at all. i think he should be in every game.
