Her final Fusion is Tirawa, which you need if you wish to view the best ending.
You shall also need to max out all Shania's Fusion Statues before Tirawa becomes available. Which means you need all her other Fusions first. So, should you have missed a Fusion or a Statue, you must seek it out. Although other then Tirawa, all Fusions are story related, so I do not know how far into the game you may be, but you must have them by now.
You will also have to visit The Gate to make Tirawa available.
After all this has been done, visit Moana Village, where you shall be told by Okanagan to return to your home village.
Not the Grand Canyon, but the Garvoy Valley, where Shania is originaly from. The place will open as an accessible location on the world map, where Tirawa awaits.
Be warned however, that this battle is very difficult, and that only Shania and Johnny may participate in it.
And my opinion..yes, this game is the worse in the series, as it has long lost its rich atmosphere and clever humour which made the previous games so inticing.
I appreciate that some key elements all the way back from Koudelka have been kept in the plot..but, well it is almost non existent. I was disapointed.
However, in terms of gameplay, it truly is the better game.
