Jesus Christ. Melodic maybe? And you could call them Symphonic metal but I prefer to call them power metal, as they did good stuff BEFORE they included the live orchestra in some parts of Century Child and most of Once (Oceanborn amirite? *looks around for a hi five*)

Aw man!! Nightwish rock!! Yeah, i think I'd probably call them power metal too...It's more Tarja's voice that makes it melodic. And now she's gone...*shrugs*...I just hope the new singer is as good as she was. I'll still listen to them, because the guitars and stuff rock anyway, but it'll be hard to replace Traja, I think.

fthey call themselvs symphonic metal, I wouldn't call them power metal, kiinda I guess. some of there songs, but they kick ass

there's speculation that they might get her back again but I don't know that much on the topic. I hope they do, she has such a nice cvoice

Really?! Well, that'd rule for the rest of us, but kinda suck for the new vocalist. O.o They've announced that the new singer's identity will be revealed when the next single is.
