The Land of Demise
---------------------------------------------

This is an RPG (obviously) about a land called Ragan, a land this is decimated by war and famine. Since the war of 10 years ago, the land has fallen into poverty and war. The land will soon be consumed by the evil that created it at the war 10 years ago...

The spirits that made the world have decided to put the fate of the realm of Ragan into a select few people's hands. They will save Ragan from the evil, and bring prosperity back to Ragan. Those chosen few...are us.

Rules
----------------
1. Use correct grammar and punctuation. No wrong spelling either!

2. No god-modding. I have set up a little system that will prevent god-modding, but please try not to do it.

3. Never post anything irrelevant to the RPG. If you have no idea about what is happening in the RPG, please PM someone who does. We cannot have posts that say "Wat is happening?!". I would slow the RPG down.

4. No controlling other characters. You ay if you have their permission and their personality fits to their profile.

5. No flamming. If you aren't trying to develop the RPG or you're making fun of someone, please refrain from posting. I don't need to deal with that kind of stuff.

6. Follow the RPG rules. This might be a different RPG, but it will give a sense of an adventure quest.

7. Most important rule of all...have fun! ^_^

This is how you would set up your profile:

Username: (your username here at FFnet)
Name: (your character's name in the RPG)
Nickname: (if your character has one, put it here)
Age: (how old is your character?)
Gender: (is he/she a boy or girl?)
Occupation: (wat does your character do? even if they just travel, put it down)
Weapon: (what weapon do you use? you always start out with two weapons of your choice)
Items: (put in your acquired items here)
Strengths: (what is your character's special ability? pick from the list)
Weaknesses: (what is your character's weakness? pick from the list)
Class: (what is your character's class? pick one from the list)
Hometown: (your hometown here, you must describe it in history and location)
Element Affinity: (what is your element? pick two from the list)
Abilities: (once you have decided the element, class, strengths, and weakness, here is where you post your abilities based on your element, class, strengths, and weakness)
History: (your character's background and history, this must be at least 8 sentences long)
Personality: (what is your character like?)

Post in the LOD clan your profile.

Here are the lists for the element affinity, class, strengths, and wekaness. These picks will be important on what your character can do, such as magic and abilities. If you want something added, PM me what you want added and I'll consider it (but I may choose not to add it).

To choose strengths and weakness, you have 15 points to spend on strength and weakness. If you buy strengths worth 13 points in total, you must also choose weaknesses that accumulate the same amount.

Strengths
----------------------
Flying: You possess the ability to levitate/fly. +10 dodging. Cost: 4 points ANYONE EXCEPT CAVALRY WARRIOR ARCHER

Brutal: You are strong with your weapon and use it often. +2 to any weapon attack. KNIGHT ASSASSIN WARRIOR ARCHER CAVALRY FIGHTER ONLY. Cost: 2 points

Mystic: You're power in magic is unrivaled. +5 Ether. MAGE HEALER ONLY. Cost: 2 points

Hyper: You can last longer in a fight, even when you have been beaten down. +10 stamina. KNIGHT WARRIOR CAVALRY FIGHTER ONLY. Cost: 4 points

Berserk: As you lose health, you're power increases. +5 to any attack if you're HP is less than 1/4. KNIGHT WARRIOR ONLY. Cost 6 points

Honor: You will regain back some health even when you die/faint. +15 hp when you die. FIGHTER KNIGHT CAVALRY ARCHER ONLY. Cost: 12 points

Faith: when you faint/die, you regain some health. +15 hp when you die. MAGE HEALER ONLY. Cost: 12 points

Sniper: You have acute aim and range. +10 accuracy. ARCHER CAVALRY ONLY. Cost: 6 points.

More will be added later.

Weakness
----------------------
Bleeder: You bleed faster than most people. +2 damage for any attack against you. Cost: 4 points

Ether burns: You are burned whenever you use ether-related attacks. -3 hp whenever you use ether-related attacks. Cost: 5 points

Poor Aim: You have terrible aim and range. -10 accuracy. Cost: 4 points

Weak Attack: You have low strength and power. -2 damage off every of your attack. Cost: 7 points

Tired: You have less stamina than most others. -5 stamina and only 3 stamina is regain every turn. Cost: 8 points

Since we won't use abilities for now until we are chosen by the spirits, you dont worry about your abilities until later.

Die Roller

A part of this system is to roll a die. You can roll it here:

Use your character's name and use 1d100 in the dice space. Always show a link to your roll.


Fighting System
--------------------------------

In this RPG, there are stats that you must include in your profile. Here they are:

Health:
Stamina:
Ether:
Accuracy:
Dodging:

Light Points: 000/500

You have 150 points to spread out in each of these categories. Every time you level up, or when your Light Points reach the required level, you get 50 more points to spread out in your stats.

Health is how much damage you can take before you die. Stamina is the amount of physical actions you can take. Each physical action has a stamina drain.

Ether is like Stamina, but is for magical actions. Each magical action has an Ether drain. Some actions drain Stamina and Ether.

Accuracy and Dodging is used to determine Chance of Hitting, or COH. Here is a formula:

COH= (you always start out with 50 in COH) 50+A-D=COH A=your accuracy D=enemy's dodging

You always use this formula to determine your attack's COH. If you are the one being attacked, you see if you can dodge it by rolling the die. If your roll is higher than the COH, you dodge the attack. If it is less, you are hit.

At the beggining of every battle, you roll the die to see who goes first. Highest roll starts the battle. When a battle has started, I will post START BATTLE. When battle is over, I will post BATTLE END.

Damage is deterimed by the action your taking. A kick or punch is 3 damage each, a drain of two stamina. Most weapons and items I'll post in the clan thread, so check there daily because I will edit frequently. In order to get items, you must buy them.

Here is an example individual battle:

NPC rolls 6 http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=834341. CPU rolls 42 http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=834338 . CPU goes first.

CPU examines his opponet. He reaches into his pocket, then threw two shuriken. He watched as they sliced through the air, heading for their target. (You can still appropriately RPG, even when your in battle.)

CPU has a 10 accuracy. NPC has 30 dodging.

COH: 50+10-30=30 COH
Damage: 3x2=6

Health: 70 (you will always show these stats every turn)
Stamina: 30-2=28 (you show the stamina you lost from your original stamina to make it easier for your opponet)
Ether: 40

NPC rolls a 64 and a 95 http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=834342. (he rolled twice because he was attacked by two seperate attacks.)

NPC sidestepped thw two shuriken. He took out a exploding tag, then attached it to his sword, then attack with his sword. (an exploding tag gives extra damage to an attack, ill talk about it later. since he took two actions, a itme actiona and a fightng action, he cannot do no more. You can only attack once and do two full actions a turn)

NPC accuracy is 25. CPU dodging is 10.

COH: 50+25-10=65 COH
Damage: 7+3(Exploding Tag)=10 (always show any addition to your damage)

Health: 30
Stamina: 20-3=17
Ether: 10

CPU rolled a 64 http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=834346.

CPU was just barely hit. He was slashed across his chest by the powerdriven sword. Recovering, he used a Potion to heal himself. ( a potion is a healing item. This is the only action CPU will take. now, watch carefully)

Health: 70-10=60+15(Potion)=70 (at first, CPU lost 10 HP. but, his Potion, which heal 15 HP, returned him to full health. even though it couldve gotten to 75, your HP CANNOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL LIMIT)

That is the end of the individual battle simulator. If say NPC won, he would have recieved 150 Light Points, and CPU, the loser, would recieve 75 Light Points. everyone is a winner.

You can challenge anybody, that means a real person in this RPG, to a battle, as long as another battle isnt already in place (there are exceptions).

I know this is a lot to take in, but bear with me. It will be hard at first, but it will get easier and become a fun RPG.

Here are some basic weapons you may choose from. You can add special details about them, but at least put the official name in the weapon category at least once.

Sword
Class: D Medium Weapon
Stamina Drain: 3
Damage: 7
For: Everyone except Healer

Iron Claws
Class: D Small Weapon
Stamina Drain: 5
Damage: 10
For: Fighter Only

Shuriken
Class: D Projectile
Stamina Drain: 1 (2 for each pairs, say you throw 6 shuriken, you drain 3 stamina. 5 shuriken, you lose thenext highest number's drain)
Damage: 3 for each shuriken, you can only throw 10 shuriken in one turn
For: Everyone except Mage and Healer

Dagger
Class: D Small Weapon/Projectile
Stamina Drain: 2
Damage: 3 for a ranged attack, 5 for up close attack
For: Assassin, Archer, Mage Only

Axe
Class: D Large Weapon
Stamina Drain: 4
Damage: 9, -10 COH
For: Warrior, Cavalry Only

Staff
Class: D Medium Weapon
Stamina Drain: 2
Damage: 4, +10 COH
For: Mage, Healer Only

Bow
Class: D Projectile
Stamina Drain: 3
Damage: 5, +10 COH
For: Archer Only

I'll edit in the Group Fighting Example later. Please feel free to add your profile to the Land of Demise Clan in the web family section.

Group Fighting

Basically, this is just like individual fighting. However, there are some new stuff in this. Sometimes, it'll be us vs. them (a team battle), just you vs. them(usully the enemy isnt strong), or all of us vs. one of them (like a boss). Whenever we're facing an enemy, I'll play the role of the enemy and my character (a select few will represent enemy if i allow them. just because im playing the role of NPC, doesnt mean ill go easy on ya).


In group fighting, you can heal your teammates, take hits for your teammates, or use wide-area attacks. Each team rolls the die, highest goes first. First one person one one team will go, then a person on the other team will go. I will explain the order at the beginning of the battle. Here is an example team vs. team battle.

Team 1 rolls 54. Team 2 rolls 32. Team 1 goes first.

Order: 1st. Team 1 - Bob 2nd. Team 2 - Jill 3rd. Team 1 - Molly 4th. Team 2 - Ryan (this is an example of the order i will post)

Bob eyes the enemy. He throws 2 shuriken at Jill and 3 at Ryan. (you can take two fighting actions as long as each are used on seperate people. If you use a wide-area attack, that is the only fighting action you can take.)

COH Jill: 50+A-D=n COH Ryan: 50+A-D=n (you show the COH for each person you're attacking in one turn. always remember that the COH depends on your accuracy and dodging, dont mix up one person's stats with anothers.)

Damage Jill: 3x2=6 Damage Ryan:3x3=9 (always show the seperate damage for each person)

Health: 30
Stamina: 20-9=11
Ether: 10

If two people are attacked in one turn, the next person going up (who will be from the team attacked) will roll for each person seperately.

Lets say Jill dodged all shuriken, but Ryan didnt. Watch carefully.

Jill, noticing Ryan in danger, jumped in front of him and took the damage of the shuriken. She then used a fire bomb (a wide-area attack item).

Damage Bob: 5 Damage Molly: 5
COH: 50+A-D=n

Health: 20-9=11
Stamina: 20
Ether: 20

Lets say Molly and Bob were both hurt (wide-area attacks can never be defended from by another teamate).

Molly took out a potion, then used it on Bob. She didnt do anything for the turn.

Heal Bob: 30-5=15=30 (if you use any item on a teamate, show their health regenerated)

Health: 50-5=45
Stamina: 10
Ether: 10

That concludes an ordinary battle. At the beginning of a battle, if we are fighting an NPC enemy/team, i will show his stats, weapons, and items. You can also have a team battle with another or more clan members and two or more other clan members. If you win the battle, you get 300 exp. If you lose, yu get 150 exp. If you die, but your team still wins, you get 200 exp.

So, that concludes the fighting system. Any questions, please post them in the clan section. I will start the RPG soon. Whenever we are not in battle, RPG normally.

The RPG has started!

Alone man walked through the village. the villagers watched as he silently passed through, his body cloaked in a cape. The people were silent. Who was this stranger?

Three men walked out into the street, holding weapons.

"We hear your trying to kill our boss?" said one of them.

"But, maybe you should run. After all, three vs. 1 ain't good odds." said another.

"Your right. three vs. 1 ain't good odds for you." The man said. His tone was cocky and confident. The villagers tried to creep into their houses. This battle wouldn't end well.

"You little...prepare to die!" The three men charged for the stranger. The man didn't move an inch. The three men slashed.

Nothing moved. The cloak fell to the ground. The three men smirked. "So much for that loser, lets report back....urgh..."

The two other warriors looked at their friends. He bled from the mouth, then fell. Below his neck, blood poured out from a implanted shuriken.

Something fell down from above onto one of the warriors. Blood spewed out from the warrior's mouth. He fell, oleaving only one warrior left.

The assassin looked up, licking off from his dagger. "You three have stalled me from my mission. Don't expect mercy."

The assassin plunged the golden dagger into the man's neck. He whispered into the dying man's ear, "My name is Crimson. Remember that name when you descend to hell."

The man fell. Crimson approached his fallen cloak, put it back on, then left the village, not caring to see what the willager's did with the bodies.

I thought oh crap as i was thrown across the table by the big man crashing through glasses and breaking chairs on the way past. Trying to steal from a bar what was i thinking it was the first time i had been caught stealing in the short few months of arriving to this place.
So i picked myself up again and attached my Iron Claws and went into the rumble which i had started. Just hitting anyone in sight and getting the same back. I was thrown against the serving area at the bar starting to spill blood i took a quick swig of a pint lying on the table near and up i got again and kept on fighting.

Almost an hour later the brawl started to end only a few people left standing i for one was on my knees being used as a punch bag.
A few minutes later i found myself being thrown out the bar by the barman and another man

"By the way your bared" he said

I rolled over onto the road aching in pain and spitting up blood over my already dirty clothes .......

(okay guys, I discovered a little snag in the battle system. I'll I need you to do is add 20 more points to ether and stamina each. also, there is a stamina regenration rule if you do not use any stamina in a whole turn, you recover 5 stamina. you can also convert some of your stamina into ether (but not vice versa) on with the RPG)

The assassin named Crimson saw the man throw out of the bar, helped by some one else. He walked over to the two.

He asked, "Who are you two?"

Crimson knew then he shouldn't have meddled into business. he decided to use a fake name in case the two knew him as the famous assassin.

"I'm Erald. I come from a nearby village to collect groceries." He easily found the name because it was someone he assassinated a month ago.

"You look like you were beaten. what happened?"
