i also heard the the middle age theme is in so we could be looking at similar theme and yet the storyline sounds on par with ff7 cannot wait if i could speak japansese i would own a copy i tell you

oh me too! Think the whole military kindoms theme reminds me of the middle part of star ocean, and i loved that part! Rags Think you said that you didnt enjoy Star Ocean that much or am i wrong?? but FF XII also reminds me of IX which can only be a good thing!!

its not that i didnt enjoy it but nearly every other rpg s overshadowed by the ff series no doubt i loved star ocean it just pales considerably when i compare it to ff and a ff with that take on it would be awsome so ime in no way against that i wonder whether they are gonna still have turn based fighting or realtime though not sure what i hope for

well yea its no final fantasy i'll give you that, but nothing is! Yea i dunno, i enjoyed the realtime combat of Star Ocean and Tales of Symphonia but think that that final fantasy should stick to the turn based. I dunno why but it just excites me. theres nothing better than standing there waiting your turn while your ass is getting kicked and then finally unleashing omislash on that badguys ass! gives me goose bumps every time!!!

Cecil, Cloud, Squall, they were all good, even Zidane was a pretty good lead charecter, but Tidus...... and he wasnt the only one that I didnt think was a good lead charecter, I think they need to step up the main charecters a bit.

does that mean your not going to buy XII kain? i agree that X-2, Christal chronicals and XI were pretty crappy but i think that XII looks good so far and i have faith that square will get it right this time

I've got to be honest and say...It looks crap. The characters all look really, really camp, and the locations are the same "happy, OMG is that an enemy? LOL!" style as in FFX-2.

I probably will buy it, but I won't like it.

i dont think any final fantasy fan could resist buying it. i just hope your pleasntly suprised kain, i sooo want it to be a return to form for square!

I cant pick any of those options, as they dont express my opinion at all

First thing I'd like to know, whats your problem with Tidus?

Second, I wouldnt say FF is going downhill, as FFX was better than them all except 7,8,6. X-2, and CC are awful, but thats just two games, ff11 is a mmorpg so you cant really class it the same as a 'failure'
