Best SNES FF game?
I personally think Final Fantasy IV is one of the best retro games ever, its the best FF for the SNES console, it has great graphics(for the time), good music which sets the moods perfect 99.9% of the time, it has a great line up of characters. Dark Knights rule.
I would give this game 10/10 as its so fun and great to play.
Your opinions?

FFIV actually gets my vote, though the job system of FFV was incredible...

Final Fantasy III takes the trophee as far as I am concerned, although that is not to say Final Fantasy II is not a masterpiece in its own right.

I agree with Terminal. III is the best. Then 2, Then the famicons original 2.(the real 2) If the Super Famicon counts in this

I find myself torn between 4 and 6, I always felt both had stronger characters than the other. 4 wins on simplicity and on general coolness for Cecil and Kain. Not that FF6 guys weren't cool, but they weren't as archtypical, like, too realistic and deep. That's it's own kind of cool, just not a medieval kind.

Indeed worthy of emmies.
I'd have to say like other fans I'm torn between 6 (3) and 4 (2). Both of these games have an awesome cast - 6 being the one with the most characters one is allowed to use. As for the plot for both of these - each of them is amazing in their own unique way. Four was an excellent game as far as advancing in the nintendo's system but 6 took the cake when it came to not necessarily graphics but story. I'm tied between the two but 3 really took my heart. Four was my very first Final Fantasy therefore it has stuck with me throughout time. I remember it took me a long time to gain my levels up in FF4 and it didn't even know of the ultimate weapon that Cecil could get by defeating the dragon. I figured out how to kill him easily but I had to level up my party. Now with 6 - that game had me hooked from the start with Terra and the moogles. Totally awesome. The storyline had me captivated. At that age - I didn't care about the gameplay I cared about the story because to me it was like reading a big book except you could make the decision not to do this or to do this. All in all these two games are the greatest in the Final Fantasy history.
