Which ff game is the best and why?
I like ff X because you really have to think about what youre doing and i like the fighting.

FF 7 no question you can take your turn based system and shove it where the sun don't shine. the ATB system all the way. and plus it had the best music and I felt more in touch with those characters than with the other ones. I actually cared for them in a way, and wanted to know about Clouds past.

8 just shades 7 for me. Just loved the locations, battles and storylines. And i thought its music was slightly better than that of 7. so for me it would go like this

Havent played 1 - 3 and as for 11, X-2 or chrystal cronicals i dont think their even worth mentioning.

ive always said 7 but i keep getting a hankering for 8 its really a mood thing in a way 7 is just loyalty to top it as it really made final fantasy the game it is today but 8 is a amazing game to i think 9- 10 and 10-2 are in the right order all ready poorer but good for 9 then sharp slip and then cliff at bottom a pit and then a blackhole as 10-2 has no replay value at all as far as i can tell
so todsy its ff 8 is the best

Mine was FF9. The storyline was great. And so was the music.

hmmm, i gotta think now....i've loved almost every single one i've played.

ok, well, i think i'll have to go for number 8 as my all-time favourite. but number 7 is a close second.

i'm not too sure about number 9. i found it kinda weird...you know...having a rat as the main character and all, and to be honest, i don't think it hit the same standards as the others, but i have to admit, it was good compared to number 11. that just wasn't right. i think it was a big mistake to do one on the PC. it just wasn't the same.

i'm eagerly awaiting the release of number 12, though. back to the good old playstation. yay! ^_^

Ooh, fun topic. Well, I have to say VII is the best, yet I have loved all the new FFs and IV a lot. I think VIII was the weakest of the new ones, but had something strangely entrancing about it... IX was very good, if a little odd; the characters (Quina excluded) were not as well rounded as other games. Quina really did rule. X was really good. Yuna is an awesome female lead. As with X-2 -- much better than people give it credit for -- if it had everything X had (like locations, etc) then it would have been excellent!
