A FF VI sequel would be a bit weird, considering that if they use the descendants of the original hero...well... Gogo Jr.? Umaro Jr.? How do these guys even breed?
I'd still play it though...as long as Ultros is in it! :P
But seriously...as many people mentionned above, a prequel would be great, but we ALREADY know what happened during the War of the Magi.

i like ffvi the way it is, its amazing but if they did a squeal it might end up like ffx-2 and then i would be really disappointed.

^^ A Sequel doesen't immediately mean 10-20 year's later, it could just be 1-5 year's later so they'd be no need for new character's but i guess Square don't have the time. With them working on:
FFV, Gba remake.
FFVI, Gba remake.
FFIII, DS remake
FFXII, Ps2
Dirge of Cerberus
and that's it, Square are doing a lot of thing's at the moment so i guess a FFVI sequel is out-of-question.

A sequel to VI would rule, but I think FFXIII is surely more important now? I don't even think remaking FFVII for PS3 is a good idea (that's if it's gonna happen).

^ You mean FFXII? Anyway, it seem's the mechanic's in FF have changed, no more random battles and Real-Time Battles. I think Square's game's have gotten worse since they changed to Square-enix, an example is FFX-2, let's just hope FFXII is different.

I would hate to see FFVI-2. I like how VI ended and i think any addition would be a bad move on SE's part. There really isn't anywhere the story can go that would interest me, unless Kefka returns (which would still be pretty obtuse)

Yeah i'm agreeing with argo on this one. It was good on its own seriously one of the best and where would they take the story and odds are it will be like an x-2 sequel (i only liked the game for some of the skimpy outfits *shivers with joy*)
There best bet is to move on with the numbers or do parts like the Agito Versus thing. who knows?
