i am on the bit where the al bhed intercept lady yuna and trolli?*speling, and you have to fight the menacing machina with the gatling gun,

here is the infoi know my characters are weak cos i rush but oh well!)

rikku 550 mix
kiriku 1300 seed cannon and rage
lulu 900 one elemental one

hp and overdrives for aeons
valefor 1100 -light ray-
ifrit 1500 -hellfire-
ixion 1600 -thors hamer-

al bhed machine

hp 16000
attacks:
assault -400/800hp
gatling gun -100/300hp for spread fire, -200hp for misses
mana beam (used once negator is destroyed) -1500hp

....fight the fiends, Use the aeons, use one with a high powered heal(say if your thunder horse[forget the name] has thundara or thundaga) to heal itself and use shield when you know the machina is going to do the huge ass mana gun thing. Hit when you can and try to live. If all else fails, level....

well, then level on any possible mobs, it'll take awhile but you gotta do what you gotta do, and in the future, keep at least 2 save spots for incidents like this. Also go check out gamefaqs.com, might be something there that you can use

The only real way to do it is to level up, cos if you dont you'll get slughtered by the next boss and have nowhere really to train up.

Right, now that that is out of the way

With the negator, it only uses Gatling gun which shouldnt trouble you at all, and another worthlessly weak attack. If you still find yourself losing, steal a curtain from it and mix it with a...god whats the item, one of the elemental items in your inventory. Anyway, itll make a Super Mighty G and then you really shouldnt lose. Destroying the Negator is useless because it comes back anyway, and also releases the party shattering mana cannon attack

There is a very easy way to do this:

First Level Wakka and Yuna up as high as possible, these two are essential for this fight, try to get both in Overdrive as well before the fight but it doesn't matter if you can't. When the battle starts immediately have Wakka focus on the Negator while having Yuna heal for the time being, once it's dead, wait until the counter for the Beam get's to 3. Then summon any Aeon (Ixion would do), and do not attack the cannon; when the counter goes to 2 immediately start attacking like mad (This is the only time the cannon can't counterattack) and eventually when the Beam Cannon come's it should kill the Aeon and not your team, by this time you should have over 5 Aeon's, if their all in overdrive then the cannon is doomed from the start.
Continue that strategy and you should win.
