I don't think that I can really choose who my favorite character would be. They all play an important roll in the game.

In battle
Wakka. Because many people seem to misjudge Wakka just because he has a Blitzball as his weapon. But Wakka's overdrives come in extremely useful when it comes to the bigger fights against the dark aeons, and not to mention Nemesis and Penance.

In Generak
Rikku, I don't know why, but I just like her. Probably because she's young and she's an AlBhed. I dunno.

You can't use Attack Reels on Nemesis because he counters overdrives and for most of the Monster Arena I used Blitz Ace. I never faced the Dark Aeons or Penance because I'm stuck with the American Version.
Uh I hated Rikku especially in X-2 most of the time what she said was annoying but I guess in FFX she wasn't so bad. Dancing Flames, Lulu wasn't some people's favorite because most of the time, in general, she wasn't the most exciting character and was often blunt. Later on in the game when you get Yuna learning Black Magic, you stop using Lulu because Yuna does more damage.
