need help from experienced players concerning license board

I'm having some trouble with the License Board as it relates to forming a well balanced party. I've had some trouble in some boss fights so far, due to the fact that I really don't know what I'm doing with my characters as far as career paths.

All My characters are around level 12 right now.

Currently I have started down these paths:

Vann - swords, heavy armor, augments

Basche - axes, heavy armor, augments

Balthier - guns, poles, heavy armor, augments

Fran - bows, heavy armor, augments

Ashe - white magic (took it up to wm 6), augments, (haven't put any points in armor classes)

Penelo - black magic (took it up to bm 6), mystic armor, staves/rods

I don't really know where to go from here, to continue down these paths, to change any, or who to have as a main party with this set up, or with any set up really.

I'm quite lost, could any of the more experience players lend some insight, preferably those who have completed the game?

Help in great detail would be much appreciated!

I didnt worry too much about weapons and armor, I just wanted the mist abilities and magics and ended up getting everything along the way. Dont worry about occupation paths. I justgot the magics i needed for everyone Magics (especially white) are my top priority. i dont get weapon and armor licences untill i aquire weapons specified by that slot. focus your Lp into white magics and you can stay alive.

Dont forget to get the Accessorys either, they play a big role in the game to...and try and get all the characters mist abilities as earky as you can...also the gambit slot are a big help if your good at using them...pretty much the whole bottom left half of the top chart is what you should go for...

Or fight some weeker monsters and build up immense amounts of LP. Build your way up to the quickenings. Trust me you'll need them. Build up your everylicense especially your regular swords. When you have to go into the Tomb of Raithwall use your quickenings and mist charges.(Practice the quickening to get good with them) Defeat the two demon walls. Go back to the first one touch the gem and go through the doors into the hidden room. Step into room two. Kill the enemies and go to the circle around and there will or wont be a treasure. Inside you have the chance of money holy motes or a Demonsbane Sword. trust me you'll want it. its a 59 strength and its the best sword for a long time. this wont be till later in the game. But just do this when you get there. Just build up your LP and fill in everything and eventually it will be full so it wont matter.

I found an aquired the licences for "Genji armor" Were do i find it? What does it do?

Sounds like some of the best armor from all the other FF's so its gotta be good. As for where and what? I can't help you. I've truthfully only watched it played and I just understand a lot of it. Know much about the armor stuff i lack some info on. Maybe argo can help/

Genji Armor is the best armor in the game...it can only be stolen from Gilgamesh the second time you fight him...

Also i would not reccomend useing axes or hammers at all...they suck...
