Cloud here, as well. He was the perfect anti-hero.
I really loved Zidane as well, though.

I'm gonna go against the crowd here and say Squall. His tough, internal mindset was pretty cool. I never really connected with Cloud's personality too much, though his physical appearance and huge ass sword was the epitome of cool.

Personally I think neither Cloud or Squall were what we would call typical heroes.
Though Squall was more of a hero than Cloud only because he changed for the better later in the game. Cloud changed a little bit over certain circumstances but he later bounced right back into nonsociable mode in AC.
Anyways, enough of my rambling... I liked Cloud the best because he was the most 'emo' and I can relate to him more than any FF hero I've seen. Of course, Squall comes in a close second.
