Default Moral Questions

What is your opinion relating to Yevon's false teachings and the false summoning?

Do you think that it is appropriate that Lady Yunalesca was not sent even though she defeated Sin like all other summoners?

Do you belive that the Al Bhed were right in stopping Summoner's pilgramiges to the ruins of Zanarkand?

What can you Infer from Seymour's memory at the Zanarkand ruins?

1. Meh, they ran out of ideas.
2. Who cares, it's just a game.(seriously) Yeah, it was pretty weird...no comment.
3. Yup, I do
4. I don't remember it...Oh wait! I just remembered, I never got that far, I was too weak, so I sold the game, recently re-bought it, and I'm not that far yet.

there's my 2 cents

1. Yevons teachings were created to cover up the truth so that the eternal cycle of Summoner dies to defeat sin continues as to keep the people in total submitance to the yevon ideals so the clergy can remain in power. By never defeating sin totally, the people remain afriad and cling to the idea of a few years of peace which only a summoners death can bring, its just a lie brought about to control people and keep them under the thumb.

2. Yunalesca wasn't sent in order to maintain the cycle. that was her role in the game, to great the summoner who made it to zanakand and pass on the final aeon through a fayth that was chosen by the summoner. As you can see in the game, her stay on spira has mutated her and made her naturally dependent on death which is why shes so keen to kill you.

3. of course they were right, they saw the truth that sin could be defeated through other ways which they were determined to find, they saw it as unfair that summoners should be forced to kill themselves for some fake ideal which ultimatly is pointless as sin always returns.

4. By this I assume you mean the one with his mother? His mother decided to become a fayth because she wanted her son to grow strong, hence the reason Anima is so powerful, she knew that as a half human/guado he would have a tough enough life and decided to sacrifice herself for his behalf. However the loss of his mother clearly had a bad affect on him at an early age, I think the message here is that Seymour would have grown more powerful with his mothers love as opposed to her aeon

Not really. More of an attempt to be one of those games that makes you think about morals, and place you in a situation where you learn more about yourself from it.

1. I think that the false teaching were a cover up. As seymour says, Spira revolves around a spiral of death. This is true if you think about it as for Sin to continue, a summoner and their guardian HAS to die. As Hazuki Sensi said, it is all used to keep the people of spira under control and to make it so that the priests are like major leaders.

2. Yunalesca probably wasn't sent because of her having to give the final aeon to the summoner. Therefore, continuing the chain of Sin being reborn. So, Yunalesca was needed to keep the faith going, even if it was fake.

3. Definately! The summoners were being sacrificed to keep a dumb fake religion continuing. It isn't worth killing summoners so that the damn monster can be reborn again, even if it is a moment of peace

4. His mother's sacrifice to become a fayth gave seymour strength, but because of this i think it got to his head. having such power made him become greedy and power hungry. this may not have been what his mother wanted but her feeling were in the right place to protect him.
