in my honest opinion, final fantasy xi is fun to play for a while, but after about level 20 it goes downhill, you lose trhe fun and play it because you "must" level up.
I have been playing WOW for about a week and i think it is way more fun than ffxi could ever be, it takes less time to level, you can get money relatively easily.
and THANK GOD there is an option for playerkills, it makes the game much more fun to play. also, when you die: you dont lose a huge chunk of experience ike in ffxi, your armour gets slightly damaged and when its durability reaches zero, you have to get it repaired or you cant use it.
final word: FFXI good but WOW is better :P
