well my friend julie got into oxford but i dont aspire quite that high ide like to go to southhampton as a lot of my friends will be going there when they finish there a levels next year

Yeah but Oxford and Cambridge are both very hard and very stuck up in my opinion. I mean they still pretty much recruit from private schools, I remmeber seeing on the news one of the deans there saying "You cant say were exclusive, we recurit half of our students from public schools now" - Right....so the millions of kids who go to normal school get 50% and the few hundred that go private get 50% - Fair? Like hell

well she definitley wasnt the private school 50 per cent while it has a great reputation it also has drawbacks as a student certain conduct other universitys just accept are frowned upon heavily and punished (drinking to excess) being the most common but oxford even regulate her work hours as her parents arent major rich she has to work to pay the fees but the uni monitor her hours and if she goes over the minnimum she will be punished or as they call it disciplinary action
