hey, i was just thinking of a thread about this today too! yea i agree, its way to big a galaxy to be just us. But i actually believe that the most likely senario is that there is a similar planet to our own out there somewhere filled with human beings and because where so far apart thats why we havent made contact yet. i mean theres so many different stars out there surely theres a planet thats the right distance form one and that could support life similar to our own.

Whilst you might argue that there is a chance, how ever small, that that isn't the case, then I can't argue with you there. But if you consider the odds. Based on how large the universe is, it seems extremely unlikely that another organism wouldn't have developed on another planet.

Prescisly, im not saying that they dont exist, its just its a REALLY REALLY high chance they do, not certain, just like theres a REALLY REALLY low chance to win the lottery, but it DOES happen/ You cant say 'winning the lottery is impossible, it MUST be impossible'

Found it online a few years back...I don't watch tv about aliens. I don't see the point.
However, it is true that whatever happens we fear the unknown, as a species.
If there is intelligent life, it would undoubtedly be more so than our own, as we are very under-evolved now. They probably know of us and think us children. But then again..Maybe not. Maybe they would be as children to us.
