Let me say this first, EVERY ONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OWN OPINION AND
THEIR OWN BELEIFE SYSTEM.
Secondly, Keyblade, I can understand what you are trying to do. I have a heart
for people too. I really care about people ya know? I want more than anything
for people to know my Lord and Savior, To really know him. Sorry if this comes
out wrong, but I belive you may be going about this the wrong way.
You know that the majority of people on this site do not share your beleifes, and
unfortunetly, they do not wish too. Jesus is our example. He walked in Love.
He lived for Love, and he Died for the love of God's people. Now, while we know
that all people are God's children, ( That is the christian beleif ) Not everyone
wants to be. God gave man free will. Free to choose what and who they want
to be. Debates lead to fights, and I can promise you , you will never gain the
opportunity to show God's love when you are fighting with someone. In all
actuality, you will drive people further away. Jesus said to his disiples, go and
preach the good news, but where it is not eccepted, to tap the dirt from your
sandles as you leave the town, in other words, lay it down, and continue onward.
Truth does not have to prove it's self. It remains what it is. If you really want to
make a diffrence, then pray. Pray for the guidence from the Holy Spirit. God
knows your heart, and if you seek awnsers, they will be given to you.
If I may ask, what is your denomination? I myself am non-denominational.
Simply put, I do not follow any of mans traditions. I belive in the teachings of
the Bible and nothing more. Have you been Baptised by water? I have read that
you belive, because you have faith. Yes, as Christians we must have faith.
But there is more...........much, much more. I am not trying to pick a fight with
anyone, AND WHATS MORE IS don't worry about me, cause I'm just as sain
as anyone. But I speak to Jesus, And He Awnsers me. Many have stated during
this "discusion". That the whole Christian faith relies on nothing but faith.
Well, I disagree with that. I have seen things happen in this world that cannot
be explained any other way, only through devine intervention. On the flip side,
I have seen things that were clearly and undeniably pure evil. I do not have to
fight things out to get my point across. If something really needs to be said,
then the Holy Spirit will guide me to it, and will give the way it is to be recived.
Keyblade, I hope you understand where I am comming from. Your sister in
Christ, Lisa.

Yeah, I guess ya got point there, I've just had a hectac life, and no time ta really "think" Ya know? Anyway, sorry if it came out like I was tryin to pick a fight.
God bless yall,
Matt.

It's alright to bash faith but not a fact? Sounds fun.

OK catch up time - in regards to Keyblades post about mine

1. YES it was a political crime - it was not the jews who exectued him it was the roman authorities. Therefor they would have needed sound proof and reason and not the babbling of some mob. The trational story is that the mob bullied the governor into killing him, but this is clearly wrong as the Romans were top law keepers and would not have bowed to lower peoples (as they saw) they had a firm system of law and an army to back it up. So jesus must have commited an act of political unrest to have been executed.

Second point - the witnesses saw him arise from the dead? well isnt the story that he spend 3 days on the cross? not a great deal of time as normally from reliable accounts of roman law, crusifiction took many weeks for the victim to starve to death in pain - he probably fell into a coma (whihc would also explain no reaction from the spear, he was totally out cold) - they lay him out and surprise - he arises again - sounds exaclty like a coma to me.

There are no reliable witnesses to his miricles, the only account we have is the bible - and you cant argue this because its true - no other account of the life of jesus exsists so it falls under all the other speculation that weve raised about the bible.

Its amazing what you can conclude if you think with a clear facutal head - so like I said - facts please

And btw - scholars do not take it seriously, only theological scholars and not the majority - I go to a unviersity and trust me they would laughed at if they tried to use the bible as basis for all the teaching they do

The ten plagues could happen now. I can't remember the exact order of them, but if one thing were to happen no the same could happen, over and over again. everything from the rivers to the locusts to the firstborns has a completely factual explination.
