Well I think you may get a good idea of who believes in what in this topic here.
http://www.ffnet.org/forum/philosoph...vers-1090.html
But if you specifically meant only Jesus Christ, I do not believe.
Or at least, I do not believe in him as the portrait given in The Bible.
He might have been a real man, but I think that, if he was real, the whole ideas behind his mythology (That is, to perform miracles and whatnot.) is a great misinterpretation on behalf of mankind's ignorance of many things in that period of our history.
It could have been many different and complex explanations, like it might very well have been nothing at all, despite the conviction of his existence. Many huge things may spawn from a single fact..

I don't agree that Jesus isn't real, he must have been real. But, hypothetically speaking, maybe he was not the son of God, but a great prophet chosen by him to help spread the word of God.
Maybe he was given the power of God to perform miracles and such. That is waht I believe.

Jesus was a man of great perseverence, whether he was the son of God or not, i agree with TGA...
Hes the reason why many people after B.C. converted to Christianity and began a new religion based on God. Even he was the son of the Devil, which im saying he not, but if he was, i would still believe he was a great idol...

To me, Jesus Christ was indeed a miracle child, such as being born from the womb of a virgin. But as I see it, the bible wished to raise Jesus status to a more...metaphorical state. I do believe there was a man, but he did not turn water to blood, split the sea in half, or come in contact with God.

I believe he might have come in contact with God, but not like it was portrayed in the Bible. I guess the Bible was the Hollywood of those times XD
They originally showed how Jesus was just like everyone else, but the Church attracted more by portraying him more in the godly sense. Either way, his message got across for me. But it does make you wonder... what if they did portray him as he should have been? In the anime Full Metal Alchemist, Christianity is a lossed religion. Makes you wonder what would happen in reality...

I doubt that Christianity would become a lost religion...
But, I was thinking that something could happen to make people lose faith. I found an article in some magazine while at the dentists office, saying that a survey was done. It was given to 100 poeple, mixed races, who believed in Christ.
They were asked if they would still believe in Christ even if he was black (were not sure whta color he was). 16 of the thirty white poeple said that they would switch religion. Talk about racism XD

At this point, Christianity will never diminish. I was saying under the circumstances that the church didn't promote his godly power. When you think about it, I'm sure there are countless other religions that have been lost forever due to lack of faith, followers, etc., for better or for worse. I wonder what religion I'd be if there wasn't Christianity....
I don't think Jesus was black but even if he was I'd still follow Christianity.

if christianity didnt exist i would probably be Catholic because i think its the closest thing to it. just that they dont believe in having a close relationship with God.. they just talk to a priest instead.
