when is enough enough?

. . .ok, so i really wouldnt go very far if my job had anything to do with tv or radio presentations. . .but on to the point. . .

. . .racial jokes. . .love 'em or hate 'em, i think we all can agree in that there is a line where it just gets out of line and outright offensive. . .so the my question to you is: when is enough enough?. . .

. . .i personally have to say that i, and i have the feeling most of you, dont mind them if im with a group of friends. . .cuz we know what is acceptable within the norms of the group. . .that doesnt mean we dont get some one saying something that is just f*** up now and then, but the jokes we tell are usually light in tone. . .

. . .i bring this up cuz a) we all go through this type of thing eventually b) my bro's friends tend to come up with very stupid things with surprising frequency. . .some of which i find just too messed up. . .

. . .for example, this a common one among my bro's friends (you wont get it if you are not familiar w/ the history of slavery and the south in the US): "why does Beyonce sing "to the left, to the left"?. . . cuz blacks got no right". . .i personally find that too specific to qualify it as an innocent joke. . .others, that in my opinion are not offensive, include this trio: 1) what do you call a bunch of white ppl running down a mountain?. . .an avanlanche 2) what do you call a bunch of brown ppl runing down a hill?. . .a mudslide and 3) what do you call a bunch of black ppl swimming in the middle of the ocean?. . .an oil spill. . .

*NOTE: the debate area is meant to be, in theory, a serius issue area. i didnt/dont mean to offend any one with any of the above comments.
