Surely whether or not we're real depends purely on the meaning of the word 'real' within this context?
I do not believe we're 'a momentary dream of some higher being' - doesn't seem plausable at all. That again pre-supposes you mean dream in the same sort of way we use it, as an unconscious state of being, usually manifesting itself in sleep.
Regardless, you seek assurance the world is real. Why? What difference would it make? It would not affect you per se; your surroundings must by definition remain the same as you understand them now...
Frankly I do not think there's much doubt we're real. I do not really think it's a particularly helpful philosophical concept, either, but that's just my opinion.
