They were continuing as I walked away they kept it up with so many other people who wore black that eventually there used to be a line of us who would go sit out here on Sundays just to infuriate them and they had the nerve to call the police and try and get people done for harassment as if stopping on the street and blathering religious garbage at me every week is hardly harassment luckily we got a copper who got the picture asked us to leave and told us to ignore them, rubbish no doubt they were telling that copper after we had left how sinful we were I mean one man nearly had a heart attack when one of my friends started talking about weegie boarding and saying he had done one and how real it was you could see the bloke was dieing to shout heathens and fools repent ye and become good Methodist children or be cast into the flames of hell lol well that’s religion for you.
That's awful! Forgive me, if I am speaking out of term here. But I am a Christian. I am proud to be a Christian. I truly belive in what my Bible says. Now, because I say this, I must
also belive in what Jesus said. " Take the plank from your own eye, before you try to remove remove the splinter from your brothers eye." I am sooooooo sorry that happened
to you. I am not trying to judge here, but I belive that there are some Christians today
Who really are turning people against the church. Jesus said, to love, and by doing that we
would keep the commandments. To me, there is a diffrence bettween being religious, and
being a Christian. To be a Christian, is to be Christ-like. He said " Let he who is without sin
cast the first stone" from the sound of it, these methodists have too quickly forgotten that
being born human is to be born of sin. Flesh sins! That is the whole purpose for needing a
savior to begin with! Again, I am sooooooooo sorry that happened to you. But belive me
when I say, not all Christians are the same.

I agree, not all christians are the same, but many are just too old fashioned and frankly insane and horrid to people these days, I can respect the institution and peoples right and freedom to believe in it, but when they act like ungrateful and dominating bigots I frankly hope they go to this hell they so fear

Amen hakuzi i know that not all christians are like this but ive seen some bigotism and chrisianity or religion in general seems to be at the forfront of such things for example my grandmother is a roman catholic ask her opinon on gay people and she belives without flaw witha most chilling belief that these people are a desase and even though some want to be a part of the church they will burn in hell unless they become not gay she even quotes the bible with some blather god apparently said about a gay man is a man turned in on himself and she because of belief condems any and all for example that gay bishop in the church her opinon on him is that he is not of god but of satan sent to break up the church it just seems to me to many racists and biggots hide behind the veil of church in a attempt to make there actions lool righteous

p.s sorry hs no full stops

I do respect christianity on some levels, the dedication they have to love and communtiy values, helping the poor and all is truly commendable in todays society, In recent weeks ive had the privledge of talking to many representitives of christianity and theyre not as bad as you'd think. Some make some good points and issues about our post modern society, but of course there are many bad apples who feel its their right to preach old fashioned nonsence

Back to the case of Harry Potter, its a small number who believe it to be evil, and im general christians themselves laugh at them as well. Regardless to what they may say, harry is all about friendship and trust, about the power of love destprying evil and malice, about self sacrifice and loss - Sounds familer to a lot of chrisitians I bet
