Abortion?

For me, I can see no reason why it shouldn't be allowed. As far as I'm concerned a baby is "Alive" when the cord is cut, and not a moment before.

theres a lot of factors to this, Im for abortion in cases of rape, abuse and incest etc, but really people need to be more careful in their sex lives. For example, taking the stance that abortion is murder, then that baby is innocent, it was the two parents who made the mistake and they should live with it cause its totally selfish to kill your own child simply because you made a mistake, you made your bed, now lie in it.

Of course this is a pretty narrow view, thats the main probelm with these kinda issues, they need context in order to be satisfying, everyone has a narrow "Yes Im pro choice" or "no its morally wrong" viewpoint, but its really down to individual circamstances that the issue gets thorny -

Example - Two teenagers, been dating a while drink a flagon of Bow alone in a park, get intoxicated and have sex, Its safe to say that this case its down to alcohol and ultimatly it was their own problem. In this case I would see abortion as a cowards way out in all honesty, they made the mistake and they should live with it.

there are many other examples, Im just stating that people need to show a little responsibitly in their sex lives, were past the point of embaressment, anyone who laughs at someone for keeping a condom on him at all times is gonna die a sad lonley virgin anyway. Im not opposed to the practice of abortion, just more opposed to its nature as a convienance.

For your example, I think perhaps rather than "punishing" the teenagers with a child (that one might assume, given the lacklustre nature of the parents mightn't manage to survive of the dedication of two teenagers) that It might be more humane, to both the parents and the potential child, to eliminate the risk of potential human suffering.

One might also argue that under heavy intoxication, what you "get yourself into" isn't entirely a just "punishment" for having made foolish decisions whilst in no state to make choices for yourself.

I generally think that people shouldn't create children if they could possibly take the view of that child being a punishment. Because of that, should a circumstance arise in which a child might come as a result, they should be more than welcome to safely abort the child.

Besides, protection methods aren't entirely 100% secure, birth control doesn't ALWAYS work. Given the openly sexual society we live in I think, rather than produce a shed load of illegitimate children into families with no means or indeed intentions to support it, that it would be far more fair on both parties to give the options of abortion.

What i dont like about abortion is the people who try and influence people against it its just not right why cant people who are havin a abortion just be left alone instead of being molested by people screaming youlle burn in hell repent etc

exactly i always said since these people are mostly religious they believe god gave them free willl why not let others excersize it but like any question that stumps people on the matter i'me sure they would just start screaming there point louder

I think as soon as the baby is fully formed, its murder. But before then, its just a lump of tissue, and last i checked people could get rid of other lumps of tissue they didnt want as itd affect their health (eg. cancerous organs)
I also think the idea that 'The baby has rights but cant speak out ' s wrong

Its horrible that a woman should be reminded of being raped every time she sees her baby (if she was raped) And if they banned abortion, women wouldjust go to back-alley clinics, which is a threat to the woman aswell

I think abortion is..right in somecases, wrong in some.
Would you force a raped woman to keep a baby if she got pregnant? I do not think that's right.
However, if a woman decided to have a child and changed her mind halfway through, I would not condone it. Even then- she could have a viable reasons.
I think the views on abortion depend on you, and how you feel about things. We can't say if it IS or ISN'T right.

so true vivi women used to but a coat hangar through there belly to kill a foetus and nearly killed themselves as well as many other painful ways ban the clinics and well it goes back to that a women so desperate to get rid of a child and is willing to put iron or steel through herself to achieve these ends should not have the choice of painless abortion taken away because she will find another way to do it and in the end you could lose to he mother all for a belief held by other people
