Upcoming movies. - Final Fantasy Net

Ok so as you all may know, today is SuperBowl sunday, The Steelers Vs. The Cardinals. But who actually watches the game if you don't like it? EVERYONE! DUH! Why you may ask? Simple for the funny commercials they play. But today, a very special movie preview that will make me so happy in pants, is the upcoming G.I. Joe movie that is scheduled to debut in the summer of '09. Now I think this will be a rad ass movie. But on the other hand, another movie preview will be released, Street fighter: rise of Chun Li. So will Dragon Ball, which is gonna be a giant kick in the ass, with Piccolo as the Villan, but a special appearance by Freeza.
I mean come on, how fricken sick will that BE?! While these movies are a definite, there's a few rumors spreading around the office about a Tekken movie and even Halo?
There's been some cool fan-made Halo movies on youtube. But Tekken? For god's sake, do NOT make it into a movie. Ever notice how people take an OUTSTANDING game or cartoon or even a book and just straight up rip on it? Like how does that make the author feel? And besides, the villian in the movie is a COMPLETELY different character, maybe one who was never full in depth with or just some person the director created. It doesnt make since, does stay with what the author has. Like for example, I'm a director and I'm creating a new movie on everyone's favorite comic and hit series, BATMAN~
Ok so I'm casting people and now all the villans have been already taken like the dude from Batman Begins, Scarecrow, Joker, 2-Face, Freezer, the Riddler, Catwomen, and Penguin. Ok well who is there left to cast? OH I KNOW! I'll make up some body build who works at this chemical factory and one day falls into the chemical bin. He then becomes this giant ICECREAM MONSTER! Who doesn't even look like icecream. ad for some reason he's got beef with the Batman. Oh this will sell millions. when it comes out, the movie will be so horrendous, that NO ONE will ever want to watch Batman again. Soon they be talking it off the air, then the toys off the shelf, and then at last the books. I mean, that will be another failure in American history. Wonder why everyone laughs at us? Because there are some retarded people people out there who don't care for anything but the money and in return go broke. It's simple as that. Well i hoped you liked my Spoilers and my opinions. Good post though. I might not agree with everything, but such a rant slandering Hollywood oh so warms my heart. ^_^

For example, I do NOT want to see that live action DBZ film. This is supposed to be anime, and I know that I shall see it anyways, but the idea seems so asinine to me. But then, all those Sailormoon lives seemed to have worked, so.

Or Street Fighter. that film adaptation from years ago was horrible...ugh. Who says that the Rise of Chun Li will be any better? Who is directing it? There may be hope...I will be interested in it, but I do not not expect much. Most video game to film adaptations are horrible...I can point out Silent Hill as something decent, and perhaps Mortal Kombat for its flashy effects and decent beat along the whole way...but it certainly does murdilize the game's plot.

But perhaps I am biased...as what I hated the most was having Scorpion and Sub Zero being mindless slaves of Shang Tsung...when in reality, they are enemies, and Scorpion only joined the tournament to avenge the death of his family, and himself.
Otherwise it seemed spot on. >_>

But yes, where am I going with this, I do not know...GI Joe should be something classic for its fans, should it resemble anything like the latest Rambo...although how they will elaborate "badassness" with soldiers who went back to their wives every evening during a war, I do not know.

Personally, I just want to see the Friday the Thirteenth remake.

I, too have nnot watched the game. I ended up seeing about a minute and a half of the mid-game show, and that was it.

Anyway, back on topic, I expect to see the Dragon ?Ball Z movie, even though I don'tt want to. I neither know nor care about the GI Joe movie, and I'll probably watch Friday the Thirteenth, if only because I've been getting into horror films lately. The new Street Fighter film I don't care about, and I may see it on DVD, but probably won;t bother.

zach and miri was hilarious, I saw it in theaters. I love Kevin Smith Movies.

I want to see the watchman. That's it. Nothing else matters. Nothing beats fight club still.

Are you two being serious, or is it just forum banter? Because I really don't know where anyone lives, aside from ML, Firesnake, and Termie.

I'd like to see Friday the 13th, if only because I've just started getting into this sort of film, and they're turning out to be really interesting.
Zac and Miri, not so much. I might like to see it, but it doesn't really seem worth eight bucks to sit in a group of the sort of local people who might want to watch it (this is a college town, so... yeah.)

There was a movie coming out this summer I want to see in theaters, I think it was animated (anime, probably), or at least used mostly CGI, but I cannot recall what it was. I'll try and find that "Movies Released/To Be Released in a Given Year" page on Wikipedia, see if that brings it back. If anyone else has an idea of what it might be, just mention it.

And no, it's not Up.
