Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete has finally been announced for a North American release for Blue-Ray on June 1. Finally an excuse to buy a PS3.
Added features will include the usual batch of trailers, commentaries, and featurettes included with the previously released DVD versions of the film. But what will be new in this release will be the highly anticipated new scenes added to the film itself which, at this time, are still rather shrouded in mystery.
Another surprise addition to the disk will be a new short film featuring the tale of Denzel which is expected to be based on the short novella, "On The Way To A Smile", included in the special edition DVD of Advent Children. The story delves deeper into the effects of the geostigma syndrome on the city of Midgar and the people living within it, as well as more details on the aftermath of Meteor and the falling of Shinra.
Also included will be a detailed look at upcoming Final Fantasy XIII. The Japanese release will include a playable demo of the game. However, although it has not been confirmed it is believed that the North American release will only be relegated to a simple detailed preview and nothing more. Still pretty cool though.
I can't wait to see this movie in high def. This will be the fourth copy of this movie I own, haha. What does everybody else think of this? Will you buy it?
