Default Advent Children Complete

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete has finally been announced for a North American release for Blue-Ray on June 1. Finally an excuse to buy a PS3.

Added features will include the usual batch of trailers, commentaries, and featurettes included with the previously released DVD versions of the film. But what will be new in this release will be the highly anticipated new scenes added to the film itself which, at this time, are still rather shrouded in mystery.

Another surprise addition to the disk will be a new short film featuring the tale of Denzel which is expected to be based on the short novella, "On The Way To A Smile", included in the special edition DVD of Advent Children. The story delves deeper into the effects of the geostigma syndrome on the city of Midgar and the people living within it, as well as more details on the aftermath of Meteor and the falling of Shinra.

Also included will be a detailed look at upcoming Final Fantasy XIII. The Japanese release will include a playable demo of the game. However, although it has not been confirmed it is believed that the North American release will only be relegated to a simple detailed preview and nothing more. Still pretty cool though.

I can't wait to see this movie in high def. This will be the fourth copy of this movie I own, haha. What does everybody else think of this? Will you buy it?

OMG ARRRRGHGHGHGGHHHH!!! They better release it here in Europe me wants!!!!

I've been waiting for ages for this news. I'd also heard that it might be released on standard DVD also but that's perhaps a rumour, I'd still try and get a Blu-Ray player in any event *dances*

I would buy it, if I had a PS3...if only to play the FFXIII demo, that is if the North American release had it. Sounds like good stuff either way though.
I really wonder what this new scene will be.
Currently, I only have two copies of this film. >_>

Nooooooooooooo!
I have no PS3, and don;t expect to have one until the PS4 comes out. Or I manage to get another job, one that doesn;t ruin my immune system.
AC:Complete sounds nice, but I still haven;t seen anything aside from the playable FFXIII demo that makes it necessary.

Are you crazy? I don't care if there is no FFXIII demo. It's VII people!!! New scenes AND a whole new short film added. This is totally worth it. *continues girly fanboy hyperventilating*

And JET, if you are waiting for a PS4 than you be waiting a loooooooong time to see this version. It makes me... so sad.

****. I'm going to be out $720, unless the PS3's price drops.

Have any of you thought of just getting a Blu-Ray player? Might be much cheaper (I'm not really interested in a PS3 anymore since I know I'll be able to play FFXIII on my 360) especially with the recession driving prices down (same might be said about the PS3 eventually, wouldn't that be great? :P)

Not really. I'd rather get a PS3 now than a Blu-Ray player now and a PS3 later. The cost pof Blu-Ray playyers hasn't gone down much where I am.

To celebrate the start of my summer break from school I went out and purchased a copy of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete to see what all the fuss was about.

I liked all the extra scenes and thought they enhanced the story greatly. I will not spoil too much, but if you like the Turks and Zack then you are in for a real treat. They are in it a lot more. The enhanced graphics looked great as well. Since they were already editing, I am a little dissapointed that Square didn't take the opportunity to fine tune the original story more by also editing OUT certain parts that I never thought worked very well in the first place, like the creepy part with Kadaj and the geostigma kids at the lake in the Forgotten City. But ah well.

To be honest I was sold on the new edition within the first five minutes. There was one scene of the original that always bothered me... the one which showed a few flash scenes of the final battle with Sephiroth, with Cait Sith riding on top of Red XIII... which every VII junkie nerd knows never occured. *pounds fist on desk* How dare they omit the Moogle. XD

I am so glad they fixed this scene, now I can sleep peacefully again at night. haha
