On November 25th, SquareEnix is releasing a DS port of one of its biggest classics, Chrono Trigger. This is a great opportunity for all the younger fans who may have missed it, and many consider this game to be superior to most FF titles.
Either way, for 39.99$ one cannot really go wrong, considering I had paid nearly 100 for the original... It will include DS specific functions, most likely something to do with the Dualscreen, evidently. Maybe a dungeon mapping scheme like in the FFIV remake, am not sure what.
We will also have extra dungeons, and some kind of arena, perhaps including wi fi DS play.

It may be just a port, but one to look forward to, after ''thirteen long years'', it should be fun to revisit Crono and friends again.
Not really wanting to mention that shoddy PS port with its major slowdown and loading times, although it did have neat FMV's and conclusion tracking...let us hope this one is of a much better quality.

Too bad they didn't seem to do anything at all to upgrade it... They probably just plopped the SNES game on a DS cart and 'Wrye Bash'd' in the Cinematics from the PS1 version.

Ha ha indeed. I know I am most likely going to get it either way...but maybe not. But maybe. Castlevania comes first though. Order of Ecclesia, only not even two months, I have time to scrounge some money...>_>

I'm not getting it because I can play the PS1 version at a better speed on my PC anytime. ^^

I still have the Super Nintendo and Playstation versions... if I want to play a game like this which hasn't changed I'll just play one of those. Big dissapointment that there is nothing new. The only convenient thing about it is that it is now portable.

Well, some new dungeons, but that will not really incite everyone who already played it just for that. But there are some suckers out there, including me, lulz. But, if there really is nothing new, and that they recycle old videos, I think I shall skip. :/
