Right, I've made it possible for people to upload their own avatars. I really thought this was possible before until Fifi pointed it out.

The permissions were messed up.

You should make the avatar cap smaller, like 80x80.

Actually he shouldn't. Most default ff avatars are 85-85 100-100.

What do you mean most FF avatars? If you're talking about other forums avatar limits they are usually in the regions of 70-100 pixels squared at most.

But besides, we don't have to do what other forums do.

Anyway, a smaller cap means that

1) The page loads quicker

2) People are incouraged to use the maximum size, and so the style look similar for individuals and so the forum looks more uniform.

actually the one im on is 100x100 pixels .


Dont forget to save the avie's pic as jpeg and not bitmap... i had that problem but Kain fixed it.

I think you mean gif.

Although a jpeg is better than a bitmap, it works like this;

Gif > Jpeg > Bmp
