P'Sykology games
Answer this question with the first thing that pops into your head (the answer is the first thing you think, not necessarily the first thing you think of):
If you could take one thing from your burning house, what would it be?
The answer to the question is not important, because the question is not what's being asked. The first thing you think, not necessarily the first thing you think of.
Will explain more if I get a few reponses to this. And it may be philosophy, but it's more psychology, and not intended to provoke discussion. Also, the thread is open for mind games, psychology question stuff, metathinking, or even optical illusions. And sorry if I posted this beore, it's from a book i'm rereading. willl explain more later.

Heheheh my first thought was "why would my house be burning?"
Strange how I would be thinking of the 'whys' before actually thinking about what to remove ^^
So here's my question- is the truth really out there?

The house on fire question
Found it in a book (Maskerade by Terry Pratchett), and it offered a recurring theme.
Gytha Ogg- A Witch (would take her cat Greebo, "'cause it shows what a compassionite person I am," proving the first thing she would do is try to weasel the best answer out of the question.
Andre- a police officer, but miore specifically an investigator (said "Who set the house on fire?")
Walter Plinge- Daft but lucid (when another character theorized he would take his mother out of the burning house, he said she would be able to take herself out, leacving him free to take the fire out of the house, and that "any fool could see that")
JET73L- scientist/researcher ("What is in the house? can any living beings in the house, like my cats, parents, or sibling, get themselves out? How much oif the house and its contents would survive the fire?)
Miss Lockhart- either inquisitive or skeptical (amounts to roughly the same thing).
Is the truth really out there? (the truth is everywhere.)
Why do(es Zotar) feel this thread won't last long? (Because he can be a cynic at times, and it probabl;y won;t.)
What would people do without their fingers? (Probably drop things a lot {at first, then they'd get the hang of not having any fingers. deaf people might be upset, though})

So would blind people, how would they read braille otherwise? With their feet?
Which brings me to the question- if you had no choice but to sacrifice either your hearing or sight, which one would you sacrifice?

Sight, to spare myself from seeing things that I'd rather not.
What is your destiny?

Yes and no. Hehehehehe ^^
For my earlier question, I said I would sacrifice my sight without even thinking about it- a world without music is a world without soul.
But what is a soul?
