Default classic vs. ooh shiny new games

okay, this game is kind of like the one or the other thread, but you habe to choose between one or a set of classic games, accesories, and/or systems, and one or a set of games or gaming accessories for=m mire recently (PS2 and Gamecube still count as recent, in most cases, but certain last-gen games can c=be considered classics, depending on the other choice. for example, you coulkd have FFVII vs FFX collector''s edition, or FFX collecvtor's edition vs. FFXII collector's edition.) then you give your readsoning, and ask your own question. for example,

Person A: Shadow Hearts PSOne games pack vs. Xenosaga II-IV.
Person B: Xenosaga, because Shadow hearts was, in my opinion, not very good, and Xenosaga II is my favorite game in the series, and almost impossible to find where I live. Mario Kart 64 or Mario Kart DS?
Person A or C: I would choose Mario Kart __ because...

So on and so forth.

So. Final Fantasy Origins for Playstation or... Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tnkaichi 2 Wii?

There was never a Xenosaga IV, it ended at III.

Final Fantasy Origins, easy choice. There are enough DBZ fighting games that if I wanted one, I could go to the bargain bin, randomly stick my hand out and most likely come up with one upon the first try.
Then again, there are GBA and PSP versions of of FFO, and I own them all already. But I would pick that anyway to obstruct the making of anymore franchise milking, Rich enough is Akira Toriyama. XD

Very well so, a copy of both Drakengard 1 and 2 for PS2 or, Panzer Dragoon Saga for the Sega Saturn?

...have I done this right?

Yes, you have. (PS: I was like, If there were only 3 Xenosagas, what the hell am I playing? Turns out, while Xenosaga only has 3 games, Suikoden has at least 5 or 6)

Now, that is a tough choice. I would have to say... Drakengard. The gameplay seems more fun, even though the battle system for Panzer Dragoon Saga seems more interesting (and this is assuming I have a sega saturn)

Erm... Legend of Zelda: N64 pack, or Twilight Princess with crossbow game and zapper?

Yes, Suikoden has five games, plus a sixth tactics themed game following the story of the fourth. (First there was Xenogears, and three Xenosagas, maybe that was it.)

The N64 pack, mostly because that would come with both games, which I have never played and are revered as being some of the best games for the 64. Twilight Princess is still easy to get today.

The original Wild Arms for PS1, or the last two Wild arms for PS2?

. . .um, original. . .cuz although you can always improve in the sequels, its often easier to stumble. . .and the original has "classy" feel to it. . .

. . .ffvii for the ps1, or cc:ffvii for the psp?. . .

Well I already own both, therefore...XD

But for the sake of participation, if I did not, well, I would pick FFVII for the PS1. Not that it is rare, and neither is CC, but I would like to play the origin before the spinoffs.
I would also hope that my copy would be the classic original with the white discs, and not that ugly tainted green banded greatest hits one with the fugmo silver discs.

A Turbo Grafix 16 or a Sega Saturn?

a Sega Saturn. The system had, in my opinion, far more games that were worth playing. (though not necessarily a higher quality of the best games for the system, I would not be able to judge that).

Castlevania 1&2 for the game boy, or Castlevania: Lament of Innocence for the PS2?

LoI is easy to find everywhere, and you can get a new copy for like sixteen dollars, so I would get Castlevania 1 and 2 for the GB.
I have the GBA remake of the first, but I would love to own the second. I do not know very much about the first Castlevanias, and would most certainly add them to my repertoire if I could.

A replica of Squall's Gunblade or the Power Glove for the Nintendo? XD

Oh boy you are teasing me aren't you. Haha. Well I already have a gunblade replica... so I would go for the awesomeness retro novelty of the Power Glove.

Also because... in the words of Lucas from 'The Wizard', "It's bad, it's so bad!" :P

A copy of Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest, or Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers for Wii.

Ha ha. I thought of you for the Gunblade. I did not actually think you would come play in here though.

I already own Mystic Quest, so I would go for Crystal Bearers...er, does it come with a Wii?
If I did not own MQ though, I would most likely obtain that, to delve back into the past of Final Fantasy...only to go what in thee blue hell?

I cannot believe that I had traded Earthbound for this crap. XD

No worries, I have Earthbound back though.

Now then...Phantasy Star from I to IV, or a free and unlimited account to play Phantasy Star Universe online, with all the extensions?
