'Distinguished Road'...? - Final Fantasy Net

I'm sorry if this has been asked before. If it has, feel free to deal with this topic as you wish... I was wondering about that little green icon on level with my name and Avatar... I hol my mouse over it and it says 'You are now on a distinguished road' or something like that... Another person had it, I hovered my mouse, it said the same thing for that person... What are these things and what do they mean...? And if nobody knows what I'm asking about; Am I possibly going insane...? o.o;

Those are your reputation points. Members of the forum may click on the little checkmark and X icon to distribute rep points, to commemorate or approve of a post you have made. I will give you some, and then go in your user CP to see the comment I left. This is how it works, and that distinguished road thing you get is just a fun little declaration of how much reputation you have, also represented by little green squares.
Incidentally, it works in reverse, if you disagree or do not like what someone posted, you can take away some rep points via negative rep distribution.

The last one is ''Member is only matched by the gods'' or something. It changes every now and then with the more points you are given.

We do not really use the reputation system here at all, though. It is a feature that comes with many different forum generators.

xD Thanks... I was wondering about that... The reputation system was used on a few sites I'd been on, but there wouldn't be a visual representation on those sites unless you went directly to the person's profile. That's why I was confused. Sorry. ^^;

Those are the little sentences I was talking about, which sort of like describe how much reputation you have. One starts with distinguished road, eventually it moves to ''user is a gem in a rockwalk or something'', or ''user is just really nice'' and the last is always ''user's reputation is only matched by the gods''.
