Dissidia will be an interesting 'side' game in the FF series. Mostly for the fans. I've never been a big "fighter-game" fan, but because it's FF I'm willing to give it a try.

I think it is likely that Before Crisis will eventually be released on an alternate platform, but it might not be for a very long time. I think the odds are more likely that fans will find a way to bring an emulated copy onto the net for download, I've been looking into this on and off for the past year or two, and I think a few sites are getting close to doing this. But we will just have to wait and see.

And as for the 'official' fiction which has been released based on the FFVII storyline. I liked the stories that came with the boxed set. They were simple short stories which I think probably mean very little to anyone not familiar with the nature of the overall storyline, but I thought they were cute. I especially liked the one with Denzel since his story had an endearing connection with one of the games most unlikely and mysterious heroes. (Miss Lockheart you know who I'm talking about ) And the good thing about this stuff is that it is official, so it gives us uber fans more stuff to obsess about, LOL, did I say that?

In between there are three short stories called "On The Way To A Smile", cases of Denzel Tifa and Barret, which explains things up to AC. They were released with the Advent Children boxset but you can read them on the net, along with Maiden Of The Planet (an Aeris story)-

you know what i hate?. . .why does japan get an awesome ff7 edition psp bundle and we here(assuming were all either in US, Europe, or anywhere but japan) dont get such a treatmeant?. . .i was so exited about it. . .but no. . .there are fans here too, square. . .be so kind as to remember that. . .or else(takes out a dynamite stick). . .accidents will start happening. . .

No problem! And I agree, we do get kind of left out because we're not Japanese. Makes me want to go live there all the more (as long as I don't have to play the Japan version of Dirge of Cerberus *shudders*)

i have a friend who gets to go to tokyo for two weeks. . .something about a club in her school . . .but i have to say im jealous. . .she also had the choice of going to washington, but i think she picked the better deal. . .

by the way, whats wrong w/ the japanese version of DC?. . .not i know how the story goes, its just now im curious. . .

The Japanese version of Dirge of Cerberus is apparently really difficult to play, something about the way they made Vincent move. He was a lot slower, and instead of having his melee attacks like in the US/Europe versions, he had some sort of weird sliding move, which apparently made a lot of Japanese people quite angry...

The story is about Vincent and how he came to harber Chaos, as a result of Lucrecia and Hojo's experiments. There's a lot about Vincent's past, protecting Lucrecia when he was a Turk, when he got shot by Hojo etc, and some bits about how Sephiroth came about through Hojo and Lucrecia's relationship. It's quite a good story, abeit rather melodramatic

Ahehehe give me the chance and I could chatter on about that game for days!!

Not a bad list you've going there, I'd post one my self but i wouldn't so much be a list wasn't exactly a big year in gaming for me but I'm planning more this year starting with RE4 then FF12
