Mabe I should create this thead much earlier...

I can often hear from you guys phrases like "old good times" or some others that makes me think that this forum was different earlier.

So I ask you: what were those good times?

When there were a lot more members, and some notorious figures like VITG or Son of Sephiroth who were quite good at slapping sense into babbling nonsense people and putting them in their place. DragoonKain and StarlighCRUSH* were more then quite proficient with this, as well.

As a whole though, there used to be plenty of people here, so it was just more active, and fun.

Despite such however, I completely appreciate the flow of things now. It may be slow, but it is peaceful and relaxing. Like a forgotten dark corner of the Internet just for us!

*smiles* I think that sums it up really well!

I remember a lot of when I first appeared in this place. I was intimidated by the amount of people here, but soon I made friends with a set few, most of them are still here now. And of course my intro thread made for some, ahem, interesting conversation, which I'll always remember and really was the confirmation I needed that I'd found a place where I fit.

I guess things will always change, who knows what the future holds. Hopefully one day when you're an Uber Poster you will look back yourself on these days and say "good times"

Even if things change, there will always be something else to come along. Since we cannot change that, then might as well accept it and enjoy the good of it.

so that was the golden era. . .you mean that at one point this place was like final fantasy republic?. . .cuz that place still has legions of ppl in it. . .its scary. . .

If anyone wants to know how the forum was.. there is always the reminicing thread... and the good old search ffnet method. use the bar in the upper corner. do not necro post though.

If you think this place is full of people now then you would have been startled if you'd been here roughly a year ago (omg I'm almost a year here now :P I feel so old)
It was filled with people and the reactions between posts was almost minutes ^^

I have a feeling that forum activity spikes at certain times. Because this is a FF-related forum, I think things might of been a little more active a year ago because FFXII and KH2 were still relatively fresh in people's minds. Perhaps people were more drawn to the forums at these times because they are looking for things such as information and tips on the games, or for just general discussion. Since there has been a bit of a loll in FF games as of late, this might at least partially explain why things have been quiet around here lately. Things might pick up as we get closer to the release dates of some of the upcoming FF titles, such as Crisis Core, FFIV DS, and eventually the FFXIII Compilation. However this is just a theory, we'll just have to wait and see.
