two things. . .lets start with one im sure many of you would probably agree upon. . .

why has a european console not been produced?. . .it has mostly been japanese consoles, and now the US got in w/ the xbox. . .i honestly think europe should produce one soon. . .and i also dont get why has the european market not get more attention. . .you'll think it'll be a huge market. . .hmmm. . .

second thing: the often used technique of "ancient civilazation that would totally kick our *** if they were around, but some how disappear with out a trace". . .i dont know about you, but if they were that strong, where did they go?. . .like in halo, *SPOILER*yeah, the forerunner suppousedly disappeared to destroy the flood.. .how?. . .by killing them selves and then leaving devices to destroy the everything else just to stop the flood. . .very smart, if you ask me. . .(on a note, i havnt played halo3, so i dont know if the forerunner made an appereance or something else about them was revealed) *END OF SPOILER*

Europe isn't completely non-productice- often companies are happy just to release games for the European market (don't forget Lemmings and Worms are orignally British products ^^) on a low budget. Because there's so much happening in Japan and the US, it would be a losing battle to try and compete with the giants of the gaming world. I do agree that the European market is often undervalued when it comes to getting Japanese or American products here, but someone has to come last, right?

As for the latter random statement- umm, perhaps Termie can shed some light on that one

1. Eourpoean console:just not really worth the competition. freaking microsoft had to release the x-box, and even then lost money on the consoles they had to make up for on games.

2. Umm, we have extremely versatile weapons systems, from handguns that vcan shoot with far more range and accuracy than a spear or most slings to thermonuclear missiles. and immunity to most plague-type diseases. We mcan even chart the passage of planets and stars with incredible accuracy. and they would have had spears, and a very, /very/ small possibility of offense-based occult powers. Where exactly are they going to beat us? in a building with ridiculously heavy stone blocks contest? we would just steal their method for that anyway, once they tried it.

Some people assume that because some ancient civilizations could do some things we don;t understand, they were like gods. I find this incredibly lacking in logical thought process. Look at it the other way: if our civilisation was transported to the past, and we all died, before the civilizatios arose, they would not be able to understand how we did much of what we did anyway. therefore, using the same method of ... what's it called logic, or what'sname deduction, we would be gods. no. any sufficiently advanced (or forgotten) technology to not be understood seems like magic. it is not (necessarily) magic. just bbecause ancient civilizations figured out some things we haven't thought of yet, doesn';t mean they had any "powers".

taroriku, i think we all know that ff13 isnt coming out any time soon. . .mgs4 is planned to come out within the following like 3 or less months. . .i've heard that koshima(i forgot the name of the company) has finish the game or almost done. . .so that may come out any time now. . .i've never heard news on kingdom hearts 3. . .however, if you have heard news on god of war 3, i'll be happy to know them. . .

by the way, i can understand how you feel about having purchased a ps3 and now none of those games are coming. . .i dont have one, i was about to buy one, but i choose a 360 instead. . .i still play god of war often though, so it doesnt get much play time. . .
