midgar, i totally agree with you. . .if the only day you get to say "i like you" or "L U" to your girl/boyfriend is valentine's day, its kinda sad. . .& yeah that can be said @ any time. . .but hey, ppl like stupid reasons to celebrate, get drunk, and lose money. . .its simply human nature. . .

Well, thank ye kindly all, for the forum alcohol chocolates. *Devours in a very un-charming and undignified manner.*
And about Valentines being the only time of year to declare one's love...whatever it is social standards wish us to believe, if you can tell those you love as such at any time, then just look at Valentines as something fun. No need to be dragged in by everyone else says.

There is a fakt that is embarasing me: some people thinks that on Fabruary 14th only boys must present something to girls, like on 8th of March. I dont get it.

I've only heard of something like that in Japan- traditionally the women will present chocolate to their guy on Valentine's Day, then the day after the guys will buy a proper gift (something a bit more expensive than chocolate  ) for their girl. Bizzare I think!
And in the UK it's Mother's Day one Sunday in March, so that might be what you mean. I'm making my import of Crisis Core my Mother's Day present, because I can
