I waited for you.
I do not know if these pictures are meant to be humorous or what, but coming from the video that I have seen these pictures in, anyone who does not cry while seeing has a stout heart indeed.
I cannot post it here though, as I would break my own set of rules-just type in- possibly the saddest video in the world- on youTube. Cough.
See, I am so lenient. XD
I found the pictures in the video, and although I believe it is set up in a way to instantly create a sensation of sorrow and that some of them might be fake, it does not mean that these things do not occur for real, (If not worse.) and I wanted to share it because I am not the only one who is going to feel all morose and sad now!! I stumbled on it by accident, and I do not get moved by much of what I see on the Internet, but...blaah.
It says that one should smile, even if it is a sad smile, because a sad smile is better then not knowing how to smile.
Also, real or not, and some of them definitely are, even the concept presented by the end drawing, these genuinely affect me because I know that death or abuse are not things which can ever be rectified.
So, see the video or not, but aye indeed, it has put me in a rather melancholic mood.

To my mind it looks like "black humor". It ealy was creaed for making people laugh. But not everyone will laugh at that. Realy, in blach humor even the death is funny...for some people. Like that joke:
"Little son comes to mother and cries: 'Mummy, mummy! Daddy ended himself in the kitchen!' Mother, droping tears, runs to kitchen. After entering the kitchen she find it empty. After her comes her son: 'Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! I joked. He did it in the bedroom!"
Such jokes may make you laugh, but otherwise they may make you feel sad. So these pictures belong to black humor. And as I can understand your opinion, this is just not yours.
But if you ask me, I think that we must enjoy every feeling. Cause every feeling is unike by it's own way ^_^

You have a very interesting view though...enjoying the various emotions. But enjoyment is a feeling in itself, right? A bit weird, but interesting either way.
You probably have a point there...dumb people like me might watch the video on the Internet and start crying in the safety of their home, but what about doing something about the things one sees? These things do happen for real, and people will claim to care and act all self righteous in the face thereof, but not very often will anyone actually look that way when something happens in real life. That is even more saddening.

It could be viewed as shock tactics- as you say, seeing horrible images like these shocks you into feeling incredibly sad, and from that sadness comes anger and determination to put a stop to this kind of cruel behaviour.
The bee one actually looks like something familiar- possibly used in an ad for a child abuse charity. The NSPCC in our country does a lot of stuff like that, there are some really choking adverts every now and again relating to child abuse. the one with the Kate Bush song really gets me upset. Anyone who has a child or a dog would instantly become protective over them, and even if they don't, they would want to try and ensure that it doesn't happen to more children or dogs.
But then again sadly as you say, not everyone would actually act on those feelings. That initial shocked sad feeling only lasts so long, and soon it's forgotten, or people see so many horrific images that they become de-sensitized to them. Not much can actually shock humans anymore, well until the next picture or advert comes along....
Of course none of this changes the fact that the pictures are sick, if they are black humour then they are the sickest kind.

ok, this will probably make you hate me. . .but. . .i actually laughed at the one with the dog. . .i know its not right, and damn i dont that to happen to our dogs but hell i still laughed. . .
the one with the bee?. . .i was like "meh". . .im aware of the horrors of the world. . .that's probably why im not surprissed or sad but it does remind me that the world is a rather disgusting place to live. . .which sets me in a more serious mood. . .but that's about it. . .
feel free to hate on me. . .in a pm if you wish, as publicly it's not possible. . .

NeoFighter and Termie have diferent opinions, as you can see. But I'm not going to make quick conclusions. And it is not a matter to hate someboy for somebody's own opinion. You are free to speek what you want (if it doesnt brake the rules).

Not an easy quastion. It depends on everyone's own charakter. And the mood makes big impact too. In different moods I can laugh at some joke, and, other times, hit the one who told it with something heavy.

Nobody is going to hate you, NeoFighter. As was said, people have different opinions, and some may even be so desensitised that this sort of thing no longer affects them. Besides, those who laugh at it or are indifferent towards it, I find to be a lot more honest then those who claim self righteous virtues while watching it.
I would cry by seeing it, but am I ever really going to do anything about it? If it bothers me so much, then why would I not?
I find myself extremely horrible.
And as ML has said, I think a lot of it is set up in a certain way to automatically stir some psychological process...like that dog picture I posted; it was pointed out to me that it is actually a stuffed animal, and not a real dog. It still does not change the fact that it happens though.
So I am not about to forget it, or any of these things, and at least it gives me something to rant about in my long winded posts and discussions. XD I like to think that I am doing my part in this way, but probably not.
Maybe I do not do anything because of the inevitability that many of these subjects present...death is sad, but everyone and everything dies. But child and animal abuse? Eeh...just one lousy excuse really, though.
Also, I like the last story, the cartoon dog one. It shows that the owner liked his dog, and took care of him. So at least it died as a happy dog, unlike most of everything and everyone else in the video. (Anyone go to see it yet?)

Hay, you found a hidden meaning of the picture! Sometimes it helps to understand the joke. But the joke itself is not suppose to make you think of that. That is not a popular tactic
