HECTOR
Gender: Masculine

Usage: English, French, Greek Mythology (Latinized)

Pronounced: HEK-tor (English) [key]

Latinized form of Greek ‘Εκτωρ (Hektor), which was derived from ‘εκτωρ (hektor) "holding fast", ultimately from εχω (echo) meaning "to hold, to possess". In Greek legend Hector was one of the Trojan champions who fought against the Greeks. After he killed Achilles' friend Patroclus in battle, he was himself brutally slain by Achilles, who proceeded to tie his dead body to a chariot and drag it about.

. . .looks like i have bloody history. . .

James: Usurper. as noted previously.

Ryan: little king. have found several not-quite synonyms for little (small, young, short), but the former is the m,ost common.

Miller: in english, refers to the grioning of grains in a mill, but since my dad has a few scottish ancestors and no english ancestors, it is more likely to be the scottish for warrior with enough wealth or (... what's it called, thing you get in battle, like recognition) to wear armor.

So, I am made outr to be either a warrior-king vizier who took over the country from his ward, or a fighter who was either leader of a small group, or short in his own right, who attacked a king and took over. either way, it's cool.
