Default I Have this Huge Headache.

The ceiling in my bathroom is leaking, the doorknob to my bedroom door came off, and my phone line has been canceled.

And my head hurts. So much. I tried to create a new thread in the debate section because it has not been active for a time, but then I was like, no. I think my ears are bleeding.

Also, SPAM.

Sorry about that... >-< I know how you feel, though. When I was younger, I used to have these really bad, frequent headaches that felt so awful, I couldn't stand going to elementary school without crying because how bad it hurt... >-<

Those sound like migraines. Although I do not get them often, I am much more happy to have severe headaches such as the one now then an actual migraine-wtf am I talking about?

It must have been hard though, did people believe you when you said that your head hurt too much? I suppose crying will convince them though.

I remember being denied rest when afflicted with menstrual pains, and I guess I can understand, but STILL. The fact that I skipped school all the time did not help though...

*nods* Yeah... Sometimes people didn't believe me because how frequent they were, but I remember they hurt like hell every time... Thankfully now, I still get headaches, but nowhere NEAR as bad as I remember those being... >-< If I remember right, those actually made me lose my balance from time to time.

Indeed, and such symptoms should be evident to those around you. Psychological premature assessments state that young children do not know how to ''act'' sick, and will always do the most evident and blatant things they can think of, and pretending to lose one's balance or actual weeping is not one of them. In fact such should be cause for concern.

Although not everyone seems to know it, as when I was sitting at my desk crumpled in a ball on the seat and clutching my stomach with sweat coming down my face and shivering like it was minus two hundred, I was told to ''buckle up'' and stop messing around.

Aaah, memories.

xD Yeah... I hate those times where they just tell you to 'walk it off' or 'tough it out' when they don't know exactly how you feel... I remember I had one of those bad headaches and had to wait SEVERAL HOURS to get picked up from school and the teacher was getting onto me for not doing work when my head was practically throbbing. I didn't feel like I could concentrate on it and do the work right... And we were into some deep stuff in 2nd grade because I was placed in an advanced class... One of our courses was the origins of the english language, all the way back to like anglo saxon.

Bleeding Christ. Do you know what Carfax means then? Not that is has anything to do with your course, but right.

Yes, I could agree with the ''tough it out'' thing, however it should be noted that extended periods of abnormal pain and the like may cause some serious damage, and it is not exactly that difficult to decipher weather a child is lying about it or not.

Also, if you had frequent headaches, did not anyone wonder about it? I mean, someone could have taken you to see a doctor.

Honestly, no... My mom only took me to the doctor when I had something she thought was extremely serious, like a bad case of the flu... My sister tended to have more health problems than I did, because she had mononucleosis. I guess I sort of developed to the point where I don't complain about my conditions though... I guess I've been told to 'tough it out' so many times that I have actually made that a part of how I do things. xD Nowadays, no matter how sick, hot, or cold I feel, I don't complain, I just deal with it.

Well, 'tis a strong attitude indeed, but one which might some day jeopardize your health. Even if such convictions were to have been conditioned unto you by dismissive adults, I hope you will consider this.

*Waves finger like somebody's mother.* XD

XD 'Yes, M'aam...' Anyways it's sort of how I treat everything IRL, really... Not just sickness and injuries. I keep other problems to myself as well and never really say much about any of it to my friends... I help them with their problems, though, whenever I feel they need it.
