The snow remains, and it did not melt, as I had thought that it would.
Now we have a lot, and it is freezing cold.

I envy you people!!!!!!!
I watched The Snowman with Jonny, he didn't understand why the screen was so white, and why a big white thing was walking around with an orange for a nose.
I think I must move away from this stupid country to somewhere with good snow. Any suggestions?

Canada? You will have more snow then most people ever wish for...blizzards, minus forty weather, winds which freeze your face off, slush, darkness at four in the afternoon which is relieved only at the end of the bells of near nine O'clock...it gets insane in November and December...but then, January presents the fiercest colds. They always have warnings about it on television when it is too cold, to cover yourself adequately.
Of course it depends where in Canada...Manitoba has no mountains, and so the winds get in, and having lived there for quite a while, I can say that where I am now, in Québec, it pales in comparison.
Still, it makes me laugh when it is minus twenty and people complain-try Manitoba.
And it is not merely the cold itself-but the amounts of snow we get. Sometimes it is simply insane. In 2007 we had so much snow that the spring floods devastated many homes and even some communities; it was over the news constantly. incidentally, that year in Québec, they had received an ice storm-rain which froze, basically. And, this deprived many big cities if electricity for months. Quite a year, that.
Over the past years however, the Winters have not been so cold and rough...last year, we had no snow at Christmas-grass was dead, but remained indeed. it is picking up this year though.
In some years however, Canada was known for having Winters which actually rivaled those of Russia-and over there, it gets so cold that the train tracks actually split. O_o
Hmm...why the hell am I always talking about the weather??

Wow Mother Nature likes Canada!!
I actually watched a TV programme about freezing rain in Canada once, something about certain layers of hot and cold in the air that cause the rain to be almost frozen, but then it freezes on impact. It causes quite a lot of devastation! It showed the power lines getting frozen and breanking under the weight of the ice, and other crazy stuff, cars skidding and crashing into each other, people not being able to walk. Well, maybe Britain isn't all that bad...
Hehehehe I can talk the cows away myself about weather sometimes, it must be a human thing

I do too. It hasn't snowed more than 2 inches at a time here since i posted my snow thread. I must have jinxed this place. Funny how alot of people attribute the weather here to jinxes. I myself noted that when ever i cut out paper snow- flakes, the next day we would get a foot of snow. I dont do it any more but that was just coincedence anyway.

Still, I might try that myself!
Last year we had one day of snowfall the whole winter, it was in January. It was gone by the end of the day too, which was disappointing.
I love watching the snow from inside my house, but I like to get outside in it too. If it snows this year I will get the pushchair ready and just go for a really long walk, or play in the garden.
Though when it's Christmas, my house often looks much more snowy inside!

MY brother and would biuld snow fortrousess every year but we always got too cold or to bored to finish them. Sometimes we would have our niece over and we would have awesome snow fights. Then we would have to feed the cattle some hay off the back of our truck and be reminded how much we dislike snow.
One time my niece chased my brother with a 10-inch snowball and smashed it over him.
Lucky the snow was so soft.
LOL.
