Maybe this is like some kind of weird limit break they tried to include. It does seem weird such a glitch would sneak past the programmers in this day and age.

Indeed, albeit pretty useful sometimes though! xD
Which I think that, speaking of such-it has to do with button mashing. Selections during battle in this version are ATTROCIOUS, it takes like almost one second to move the cursor on an enemy or spell, and then another second for the stupid cart to register that you've decided on a selection.
So, in desperate times I find myself actually button mashing to get it to respond faster, and because of this flaw, half of the time I do not even bother to go and select spells, it takes too long. It may be something such as.

In my opinion, glitches or easter eggs in offline games can be exploited indiscriminately, and cheat codes can (ethically) be used not for bragging rights, like "Hur, I beat sephiroth in three turns, hur" but only either
1. if you are trying to do something specific to advance to a part of the game where the cheat will not be used, or
2. if you are trying to beat the game just to see an ending without having to spend 60 hours of replay time. (either replaying, or on a different save file from your main game) (this reason can also be used for gameplay related spoilers, under some conditions)
Easter eggs may be used indiscriminately in online games.
Glitches and cheats are never*10^163 to be used in online games. It ruins the game for others.
The console/offline games ehtics are my own opinion, but the online ethics are just basic courtesy.

My god, I just found the worst case of Mod Meglomania I've seen yet-
http://www.finalfantasyforums.net/fi...395-page2.html
I've had it with that place. Sorry Sever Off and Kaoru, but I can't take it anymore those mods over there are just too big for their boots, one little bit of off-topic posting and look what happens. No more for me, I'll stick to my quiet little nest of insanity here kthanx

As a former Black Mage in FFXI I can tell you that this bot is completely pointless, as it'd never be able to party properly or even play properly. It's probably just a keylogger to steal your account.

I just thought of another ultimate cheat to share from FFVIII.
You can use a Playstation game controller with a turbo function to max out your Boosts with the square button for those Guardian Forces who can learn the ability.
Although, you don't really need it for GFs with long cinematics (if you had a fast enough thumb you could pretty much max out Eden or Phantom Train's Boost easily on your own), but it was very useful in dealing out some major elemental damage early in the game with some of the early summons such as Quetzecotl, Shiva, Ifrit and Pandemonium.
It was fun... but it was cheating. *Cait Sith dances a little jig in a circle*
