This is just a little joke, but…

I think this would be an interesting fraggle that could branch from the franchise. I am hereby starting a petition to demand that Square Enix release a sports edition game of Blitzball from FFX. It must be modeled in a video sports game format, but also have the reminiscent feeling of FFX.

Oh yeah, and because Terminal specifically wants it, the game has to also include a multiplayer function so that she may kick all our asses. XD

Alright Revenant! *high fives* Thanks for signing the petition.

It is a truly remarkable sport, presented in the form of a very unusual mini-game within Final Fantasy X. But even though I kinda got it, I never really got into it. So perhaps someone else could explain the rules and concepts behind this game much better than I.

Blitzball, a really simple sports game, played under water within a huge dome. It is pretty much like football, only with a round soccer like ball, and you can throw it or kick it, pass it to your team members in order to score points in your adversary's net, which also resembles a football net-thing, and there is a time limit.

You can also confront an opposing team member who has the ball to take it by force, and each player has different statistics such as speed and strength, and attempt to catch the ball in mid-air, or uh, mid water. You can sick more than one player on another who has a hold of the ball, and if they cannot resist, depending on their statistics, the ball is yours. Of course, they can do all the same to you.
Tidus had special moves too, and once built up he was like unstoppable. You have this limit statistic that dwindles as you throw the ball, dictating on how far you could throw it, so there was a fun element of strategy to this game. You could set up your team members in certain places to make passes and eventually get to the goal.

Some members were very, very slow, but if they caught you they would always take the ball away for example. Obviously, you always have someone standing guard at the net, who could also throw the ball back if an opposing team member threw it at the goal and failed.
After each match, you also get ''exp points'' for your players depending on how much they participated during the game, so it was a good idea to use them all, otherwise those who barely did anything would not receive any Blitzball exp.

I thought it was really fun, and if there was a spinoff of this, I would so get it. It could have online capabilities and all, so you could like, build your team and play against people online, and there could be like unlockables and everything. Then, I we could meet online, and so I could decimate the lot of you.

After a while in FFX playing Blitzball is all I did, I got really good with it, and built up my team so much that I barely had the need to recruit random members found through Spira. XD

If you play Blitzball in FFX, no worries, you will pick it up fast. There really is nothing complicated about it, not as much as it might seem in my post.

ZOTAR SIGNS!!!!

Just a thought, wouldn't it be cool if you could unlock characters from other Square Enix games to play on your team?

Imagine for a moment that Cloud or Squall could play... Even bosses from FF10 and 10-2.

YES!! As Butthead would say-That would RULE. A very good idea Zotar.

We could unlock other FF characters (Or some from other Square games.) and also, perhaps different modes for Blitzball, and oh yes, it would be neat if you could upload your FFX data and transfer existing statistics and characters into this new Blitzball game. Multiplayer and online functions, it would be so neat-complete with Ramstein soundtrack. XD
