Creepy phone calls.
This has been going on for about a week.
In the morning, at around ten or so, the phone rings, and the caller never leaves any messages. I work an evening shift, so therefore at ten in the morning I am asleep, and never bother with the phone. But on the off chance that I am awake and answer the phone, no one is on the line.
I was told that perhaps these types of calls may be somebody's fax machine, or some operation which collects addresses and the like, I am not sure what exactly, so maybe someone knows?
The thing is, this happens on the weekends as well, and for the most part, governmental operations do not function during Saturday and Sunday..
Is someone stalking me or something? Should I call the police? It is starting to freak me out...so much that I try to forget about it..but I probably should not.
Last year I had my bank card cloned and lost all my money, and I remember this same weekly phantom phone call session..but when everything was solved with the bank, they told me how it was that I lost everything, and that it had nothing to do with weirdo phone calls.
So..does anyone have any advice?

Definetely call the police...I had almost the same problem, but it turned out to be a stalker from my school. Since you work and aren't at school, I would call the police.

I do wonder though, would they even do anything just because of some phone calls?

If they're worth their weight in flesh, they'll take it very seriously. However, it is true that it's more than likely a bot of some kind. Don't count on it though, seek help and let them determine what the cause is. Better safe than sorry.

If it's some lunatic, that wouldn't solve anything but making it less irritationg. And, I'm assuming you either don't have caller ID or it doesn't have different statements for blocked name, fax, company telemarketers. That's the easiest way to figure out who it is, if anyone, but the police could figure it out with a trace or something.
